about 3 weeks ago I took off my hooker headers and had them thermal coated. flushed out my cooling system, junked the old mufflers, I think they were flowtechs or something and now waiting until tuesday to get an exhaust installed. So I took the car to the store (headers only and very loud) and it sputters and hesitates in any gear around 2500 - 3000 rpms??? Before the removal of the headers the car ran really good but was rich, I'm assuming it is rich by the smell.
I checked and wires are in the right firing order. The car starts up right away, idles fine and revs with no problem just when I go down the block and then it hesitates.... WTF!
Could it be because there is no mufflers to create any backpressure? I don't think so but I'm not sure
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
