Well Dallas lost this one :( , but hey New England did play real good it will take a solid defense to shut them down :nice:

Is there a defense that solid in the NFL that can shut them down? Steelers look good but week #14 is a long ways off a lot can happen between now and then.

Dallas played well but I figured their defense would not be able to hold back the Patriots offense for long especially with the injuries they had.

Dallas played well they scored the most on the Patriots then anyone else has so far, but flip side of the coin the patriots put up over 40 on their defense.

IMO the only way the pats will loose is if they beat themselves..

With that much Veteran leadership its tough to see that happening but anything is possible. I think they are out their to prove something, to put all the doubters to rest that say their past season wins were tainted b/c of cheating.

Question time.

1. What did last nights game prove as far as them "Not playing anyone good yet"

2. What did last nights game prove as far as not beating anyone good unless they are cheating?

Its a double edge sword, some people have to swallow their pride and admit they are as good as they appear, or stick Dallas into the same category with the Bengals, Bills, and Jets

Was talking with a co worker at work yesterday and said how odd it would be if the Patriots went 16-0 and the Dolphins went 0-16, that would be some weird ass karma that the year the long standing perfect record season since 1972 was done once again while the current holders of this go 0-16

The game last night showed me that the Patriots O is awesome and the only way a team can stop them is to have great corners and safetys as well as having a good front 7 that can pressure Brady.

But with that being said, Dallas had chances and kept it close until late. If and its a big if Dallas would have stopped the penalties and drops who knows what would have happened. Dallas was able to move the ball, especially with the run. They were able to rip off some huge runs on the Pats.

I still think Indy is being under-rated by everyone and will give NE all it can handle come week 9.

Time will tell Im not making that bet now. Patriots had two starters go off the field and not come back today.

On a side note I did win $20 off the Patriots/Dallas game :nice:

Silly Dallas fans at work thinking they were going to win

Dont worry\, you will lose that $20 when the Pats play the Colts.

Week 9 will show that the Colts have a new face. granted that The Pats will do all they can to keep manning off the field and that will be their best course of action IMO. But you really should not count out the D of Indy, it is not the D of the old guard here. New faces and strong players adorne that depth chart. If the Pats dont shut doen Dallas Clark they will be just giving the yardage away to him. He is shifty and like a Moose running through the living room.

This game will be the Best game of the season IMO not because its going to be 2 loss less teams (probably) but it will set the pace for the post season. Who's house, Who's Advantage, Will Indy be in the weather ot NE in the Dome? We all know that this is Game 1 of 2 for these teams as it is every season. Indy shut up all the Nay Sayers last season and now is defending the title, pats are back with a fist full of Diamonds ready to add another to the hand.

Dont count out Ben and the Steelers yet though, they are still finding ways to win and to keep themseves healthy. By Far when you are talking powerhouse teams you are talking AFC teams, in time the tide will shift, but not soon and we are riding the crest of the Tidle wave as the Pats and Colts draw near to this years Show Down. We would like to see that both teams arrive with no losses but if one or the other does seem to lose a game it wont matter because of the rivalry that has been created over the past five seasons...

Seems to always be teams plans, but so far it has come to no avail

You cant play the what if game. How the game went last night was the reality of what actually happened. Not dropping passes and not committing penalties is part of the game and part of winning. Those to factors shows two things.

1. The Patriots have better receivers, they did not drop as many passes.

2. They have a more disciplined team that does not commit penalty's.

Those are key factors in winning games, not excuses for Monday morning at the water cooler for why your team lost (not saying they are your team saying in general)

There have been some huge runs ripped off on Indy as well. Barber is a great running back, he runs and hits hard.

One thing that really killed Dallas last night as well was the Patriots offense use of the clock. They had long sustaned drives that ate lots of clock time thoughout the game and kept the ball out of the hands of the dallas offense and tired out the dallas defense which was aparent by the end of the game.

exactly.. i agree 100% NE is a sick ass team. If there is a team out there that can play solid football for 4 quarters then they could give NE a good run. Most all teams seem to die at one point or another, and NE is just a team that plays solid football for the entire game. I have noticed though that Brady doesnt like pressure and if they can get enough hits on him, he coughs up the ball alot. But no team has given him pressure for the entire game. A team with great D and secondary that can play consistant for the entire game, will give NE a good challenge IMO.

Thats a reach to say that brady coughs the ball up a lot under pressure. The guy has a better than 2-1 TD to INT percentage for his career and is known to handle the blitz well..

ANY qb is going to turn the ball over more with blitzes in his face but if you just rush a bunch of guys brady will OWN you.. try rushing 6 guys every down and see what happens, it's not pretty for the team that trys it. Trust me they tried it a lot early in bradys career.

When brady does have high turnover games it's because the defense was able to create pressure with 3-4 pass rushers and drop everybody else in coverage. No QB is going to do well when that happens. In fact thats how we used to handle manning so well.

dude didn't say this season.. i was just looking at brady's stats and he averages like 14 a season.. some seasons he has 16 fumbles, some seasons he has like 4 so its up and down. but more often then not he has 8+ fumbles

What stats are you looking at?

so where did you get your info that he's had 16 fumbles before in a season or are you just throwing numbers out there? Every QB has turnovers every year, its just part of the game. You act as though what brady has done is somewhat sub par while other QB's never fumble or throw INT's

If you take all of the fumbles he has had since 2001 and divide them by the amount of years he has played (excluding this season) his avg amount of fumbles are 9.8 not 14 so are you really dumb at math or are you just trying to make brady look worse by pulling random numbers out of the air b/c your post is full of errors as far as his sats go.

Maybe i was confusing int's with fumbles, and mabe i was thinking about another QB when i said 16 (was looking at alot of qb's stats this am) I guess i was just looking at peyton's fumbles, and he's had no more then 7 fumbles in a season in his career.. He does have (in previous years) a high amount if INT's However since 2003 has had no more then 10 a season..

Apparently. Regardless Brady's stats are very good since he has been a starter QB. You think Manning is somehow a better QB b/c he has had les overall fumbles b/c it seems thats what your getting at. Last time I look Brady wore 3 rings, Manning has 1.

For those of you who dont know Bradys stats this year.

21 Touchdowns, 2 Interceptions. How sick is that  His career high TD's for a season is 28 and he's on pace to break Mannings single season TD record.

i do not think that because brady has more rings then manning automatically means brady is the better QB.. mediocre QB's having won the superbowl.. Not saying he is a mediocre QB im just saying its not all the superbowl. you cant compaire stats, cause in some categories manning is better, and others brady is better. They are both 2 amazing QB's in the NFL today that i think are almost equal. I would like to see if brady can beat peyton's record, its quite a record to beat :nice:

Im not a stat comparer, I only threw them out there b/c you were giving out false information about Brady to the other members that post here. Just setting the record straight.

The Brady VS Mannning (who is better) controversy will continue long after they have both left the NFL. They are both QB's with rings and that will end up in the NFL hall of fame eventually. IMO I dont by the fac that Manning is a better QB b/c there is nothing Manning has done that Brady has not already done, or is doing now. Id say that we are all lucky to perhaps be watching the two greatest QB's to ever play the game, and are playing it at the same time.
