Guys, Gals:

I got a problem. Im 6'4 inches and built like offensive lineman. I bought an 89 mustang as a family project, but i am finding that i dont quite fit in it without feeling like my legs are folded in some ungodly configuration.

Is it possible to safely relocate the seat rails back enough to get me comfy leg room in the fox body stang?

I wouldn't see any problem with it. In fact a lot of racers do it for better center of balance but they also have to extend the steering column and pedals but you guys won't have that problem :D

I noticed the seat frame on Mustangs have 3 holes in each corner, which you can move the track back on the seat. Prolly won't be enough, but try that first before you buy the extenders.

OH didnt know that at all. Thanks for the info. Im sure i'll need a bit more room but we shall see. I notice that the shifter is really close to the dash.. Is there a long handle hammer shifter i could use?
