look what i just bid on!

I agree with most of the stuff you guys are saying. Yes it needs some body work but hell im only paying 2250 for it....

I have had a HARD time finding an original black fox like this for a project for this price.

I would like to see a comparable car for the same price that is black like this one. Maybe i just suck at searching for used cars....

The front fenders look pushed back.. I'd be willing to bet that car has frame damage. It's a small dealership selling the car AS IS so they don't have to disclose anything. And body work will kill you unless you do it yourself. Walk away. I only paid 3k for my vert and the body was perfectly straight. Just needed paint and some surface rust removal. Hence the reason I know paint and bodywork will kill you.

The guy promised me it had no frame damage for what its worth, and he said it has no rust except for that spot on the passenger quarter. Yes buying cars off ebay is dumb, this is my second one off ebay, but i figure for 2250 this is a decent deal. This is my second fox by the way...

As far as body work goes I know a guy where I live that will fix those dents and paint it for 1500$, I LOVE FOX BODYS :SNSign: :SNSign:

Looks to me like its took a pretty good hit in the front end, Look at the the top of the inner fenders where the fender bolts to it. It looks wavy on both sides...

I wouldnt give 2250 for it.

How much will it cost to have it shipped?? Personally think you could find something in a little better shape for $2500. Might not be black, but can always be painted. Not to mention that car isn't mass air...

You could buy a nice rolling chassis for about the same price, if you are looking for a project. I sold my 86GT( avatar & sig) chassis for $2500. And it had a black 92 interior, cowl hood, 5 lug conversion with 97 Gt wheels, moser axles, hotckis CC plates, 3.55's and 1.5 year old paint job for $2500. All it needed was motor, tranny, exhaust, radiator, and few small other details to be ready.

On the car you bid on, what is the zip tie on the TFI module for?? And the white wire from starter solenoid to p-side of the motor for also?? Not flaming ya man, but buying a car unseen in person is a "VERY RISKY" thing to do IMO.. I would ask for good close up pictures of the floorpans, rad support and fender aprons..

I just wanted you to compare my pics and make your own judgement call. I think we should all keep an eye out for you.

Hey Deft, If your friend can paint it and you plan to pull the motor any how. Why not buy whatever color one you can get that is CLEAN AND RUST FREE> take it apart and paint it. My Vert was org burgandy and we took it all apart and painted it. You couldnt tell when it was done.

The white wire honestly looks like a extention cord. Kind of scary. I'm not bustin ur balls for buyin a car online. I have sold one and bought two in the past two months online. You just haft to be careful and look very closely. Here is the one I got off ebay. Worst part of this purchase was the fact that he didn't know where he lived. Say's in listing its in Dayton. I drove 6miles north of Cincy to pick it up. I told him to take some of the money from the sell and buy a map!

for what it is worth i dont have 5.0 nor a foxbody (dont really care for them, owned them but don't like'em) anyway as a mustang fan i would agree with most of the posts, the car looklike it has been hit a couple of times. left front fender, right door, quarters, was that rust up by the windshield wiper motor?
anyway keep looking fox bodies will always show up.

now there you go, and probally would take offers. that looks like a really nice project car. nice find!

Yea i was looking at that too, much nicer than the other one. I really appreciate yall's advice i tend to be kind of a spontaneous buyer which is not good when it comes to buying cars.

I guess ill keep looking, realistically I need to find something a little closer to me so that I can actually look at it and drive it before I put the money down.

Thanks again!

Im glad to help..... craigslist.org is a good place to look.

You can look at each state and each listed city per state. Its handy. I found my 93 on craigslist Indianapolis
