suppose I were to race a 2006 v6 stang (on a roadcourse) from 50-100, and just crawled a car length ahead of it, is that normal?

Sounds about right. They're pretty quick for a sixer, and who knows if it had gears or anything, either? There's a member here with an 05 V6 in the 10's, if that says anything about potential...

Plus a road course with cars being drive by different people itself is a huge variable IMHO.

I read into the "road course".....
I can't remember but those 2005 6's had either 210 or 215 hp so they are right there with us..........and as said.....was there any minor work to give him a little extra.......

FWIW, I just remembered a bud of mine. He has a fairly stock engine (fox notch with a 5 speed) with over a grand worth of suspension to help it launch. He also has a NE Auto V6. Lined up together at the track, he drove the notch and his sig other drove the V6. She just stood on the pedal and he barely beat her at the end.
