Okay I think LM's is m final answer Regis......
but now i have to choose beween 1 or 2's....
and i was wondering if anyone has personal experiene with hearing either or.
Their is a LM 1 clip on stangnet tech and it sounds good. probably the best for just catback but wih an o/r anything it will probaly be annoying.....
im keeping the stock h pipe for a while but who knows. and lm1 with an o/r might be too obnoxious
Makig me think of gtn the II's. also i heard the IIs are just as quite as any other cat back system. but woukd it be louder than a mac or american thunder catback....or isi it just a slight tone down from the I's??? any personal experience would be greatl appreciated. as well as any other details about the two diffrences:flag:

In my opinion loudmouths sound like ass if there's not a lot of motor work to back them up. They'll sound alright up top, but low rpm and idle will sound like a farm truck with rusted out cherry bombs. I've only heard them with an o/r midpipe, so it might be different with cats. My vote is for Mac mufflers with an o/r X. 2nd best sounding muffler for a mild motor fox imo. Any muffler will sound just okay on a stock motor car, but they really come to life with some free flowing heads and a cam.

This video is great just for the ending when he gets yelled at by his mom :rlaugh:

ok well with those videos it seems it a built LM1 vs stock lmII. my main concern is that the decimal difference between a I and II....would it be safe to say a lmII is louder than a flowmaster catback or magnaflow catback? or are they near equal???

I have had experience with both the lm1's and the lm2's on my stang. My previous setup was 1 5/8 LT headers, off road X, and slp 1 cat back, imo this sounded REALLY obnoxiously LOUD and only sounded good above 3000 rpms. I also tried this setup with a catted h-pipe and it still roared enough to my liking throughout all the rpm range. So next I decided to try out the lm2's with an off road X and for me it was WAY too quiet, even after a couple months thinking it would break in it never really did so my next plan is to get a catted X pipe and throw the lm1's back on it. And here's a little burnout vid with the lm1's, and sorry about the and the way I edited the vid its the 1st one I ever tried to edit...

I have BBK Shorties, a catted X, and LM1s and it sounds beautiful. Under 2500 it is quiet and civil enough to get from point a to point b without any complaints, and above 2500 is a burbly throaty roar.

My engine is otherwise a stock 93 5.0

i personally think all of the loudmouth exhaust including magnaflows sound like fightos a**. the main thing i dont like about them is that they are too throaty and obnoxiously loud. its almost like you are starving for attention.

imo spintech, bassani, borla is where its at.

well i appreciate everyones input....
but i really cant find clips of a good lm vs. lm2 or any opinions......lmII might be too quiet for me, i just want to know if they are or are not louder than the other favorite catbacks ie. magna, flowmaster, pypes, etc etc...... starving for attention or not in my own opinion the loudmouth sound the best on a stock motor......but i do agree with being too stupid loud especially with a my 5.slow(stock)...but i will be pissed if order the lmII and there to mild especially when they are more expensive....
so far the only diff i have verified is lm1 ares just resonators and lmII are mufflers that are just like glasspacks or magnapacks........but im not complaining...maybe i should call up slp or something, any ideas>?

I'll try to post a vid of my stang tomorrow with my current setup (with the LM2's) so you can get an idea of what it sounds like...

yah stangmans car is wicked sounding,,,,,thats what made me think of LM to begin with, and also stangnet had a tech article on it.....with some good sound clips.....
im thinking of pro chamber and lmI,but i need to verify by hearing some II's cause i want the same sound, but im sure a little quieter would be better for my ears, passengers, and ticket record...but if its too quiet switching to LMII's then screw the passengers, ears, and tickets..

hopefully dmare can get me a sound clip to help me decide

my younger brother runs the LM1'a welded into his stock 94 catback. His motor is stock besides K&N filter and bumper timing. With his stock h pipe and the LM1's the car sounded awesome...nice and quiet when cruising...but they screamed at WOT. Nice gurgle at idle and good tone through the RPM range.

He just cut out two of his stock cats and put an explorer intake, trickflow elbow, and a set of 1.7 roller rockers...he said the power difference is outstanding and the car is MUCH louder. I think its almost too rough sounding...not enough tone...but it sounds amazing at idle and at WOT. I say go with the LM1's.

thanks DMArker` that sound good with the LM2 and you want 1's lol....dam you like it loud huh???? well i really aprreciate the clip..
but ninety5.0's response has got me thinking now???also i found the lm1 or 470 shipped and the LM2 for 540 shipped.....and worse case scenario i can just buy the LM2 mufflers and adapt them in....i wont do no welding till i get it right.....i think im going to pull of my h-pipe to check for some more tranny line leaks problems and in the process, hack off the last to cats got to auto zone and buy some replacement pipe fit it in there and weld it......pretty much a custom catted h-pipe......it wold only cost me like 25.00 bucks and would help keep the tone from being too ridculous..
so far im going to order the LM1 kit and try a custom h-pipe setup....and run that for a while regardless if i like it or not!!!
`thanks all

you wont be dissapointed. I, too, did a little bit of some custom piping with the crap from autozone, but hey im a junior in college. I dont have $3000 to do full custom mandrel bent orgasmic stainless steel crap. I made do with what i have. Then again, i have a welder and a sawzall, so i can do quite a bit!

word of advise, dont forget about the ground clearance, and on the back right corner, dont melt that plastic gas line joint!
