I always liked him and rooted for him, ask a kid I liked the Packers so naturally he was my guy. I met him last year for a brief moment, it was neat just to say Hi.

My favorite current player in the NFL was Brett.

It had to come sooner or later...

I want to see him as a broadcaster. I think he would do great!

He brought a good character to sports that seem repleat with bad ones. Sorry to see him leave, but glad he has a ring. Guys like Jim Kelly, Fran Tarkenton never got one. Hell, Archie Manning was as good as his kids, never even got to play for one.

Kind of depressing from the standpoint that you'll never see one like him again for a long time anywhere, much less in Green Bay. I'm sort of glad he's retiring on his own accord after a good season as opposed to playing another year and getting injured.

the dude rocked and was cool about it. Have to say , even being from a different state, I wanted to see those guys go all the way. that game in the snow when the packers beat Dallas was one of my all time favorite games. Great great TV.:SNSign:

I am a diehard Packer fan, born in Beaver Dam, WI. Its sad to see Favre go but at the same time he has done so much in his 17 years. The NFL (not to mention MLB) needs more players like him, an honest hard working guy who loved the game! Even friends of mine who hated the Packers liked Favre. I agree with the poster who said a he could have a future as an announcer, if Aikman can do it I'm sure Brett can.
