It's been a long process but my Mustang is almost ready for paint. I've got my brother-in-law doing it (and getting a fantastic deal) so I'm on his time-table. I hope to get it back by the end of May. Crossing my fingers.
Here is a before pic

And here is what it looks like now

Love it! After close inspection, looks like your clear was about shot on the top pictures?

How has sanding/smoothing the roof gone? Mine seems to be very prone to tincanning with the thin metal.

+1 on asking which paint and stripe scheme you are going back with since you've got a 71 frontend on a 73?

Subscribing!

If you look at my avatar you can see that the top of the fender is shot, as is the roof, hood and other parts. The pic at the top of my post is very misleading. I am going with a blue/black color scheme. After exhaustive research (walking the local automall) I picked Speedway Blue which is a Toyota color. At first I was going to go blue with argent but because this blue is pretty bright my brother-in-law said the black trim would look better. The second pic is a 'Cuda in a blue/black scheme in a similiar blue whick looks great.

i think the factory blue glow metallic is also very similar to the toyota blue and it looks awesome with argent accents. not that i have anything against blue with black, mine is acapulco blue with the blackout hood, headlight insets and taillight panel with a black front spoiler, GT stripes and black vinyl top. :D but i think if you really had your heart set on blue with argent then that's what you should do.

i would get your brother in law to do a test panel with the blue/argent combo and another with the blue/black combo and then decide which you like best before you totally make up your mind

Update: The final coat of primer was put on and the cars was blocked. I also chose the color; DuPont Electric Blue Metallic (M6841). Brownie points to you if you know what other car this color comes on. My brother-in-law Brian painted a test on a partial fender I had. I took these with my cell and if my brain were awake I would have taken some pics of the cars as well. I'll get those tomorrow and post them up. Getting closer.
