I am installing a wet kit on my 93 gt 5 speed, with 58k on the clock. I have pulleys, bbk fender mount, walboro 255, shorties, catless h, flowmasters, 3.73, centerforce dual friction. stock cam, heads, and intake, maf, tb. This car is a daily for now.

I have a used wet kit that includes, 10lb bottle w/ safety blowdown tube, all lines, cold fusion solinoids, single fogger, msd dig window switch,

1. Is a 100 hit too much? what are the jet size for a 100 shot?
2. do i need a tune?
3. what plugs?
4. what window should i hit?
5. where to mount the bottle?
6. can i run the nitrous line inside the car?

Those are some good questions, I'd be interested in hearing the answers as I'm thinking about finding a used plate kit for my carb'ed Explorer motor, but I'm scared of melting/cracking a piston.

1. 100hp isn't too much for the stock hyper pistons (I hope). 150hp will def. kill them, sooner rather than later

2. I would guess so? Interested to hear answers to this.

3. I wanna know too :D

4. I'd probably be thinking 3000-5500rpm, you need decent RPMs to spray and the stock top end is done by 5500 anyway.

5. Not in the passenger compartment. I'll probably build a mount to bolt mine to the stock spare tire clamp :D

6. I'd be willing to bet there is an NHRA spec for this?

thank you,

Also, do i need a special jacket or pants to run at the track?

Stock fuel pressure should be around 38 WOT at least it is on 94-95s.

1 and 2. Also a rule of thumb with hypers is to not really go above a 125 shot. You can go up to 150 but you need a very precise tune that is right on. Even with a 125 shot you should bring it to the dyno and make sure your A/F is good.

3. On a 100 shot you should go at least 1 degree colder on the plugs. I am at an 80 NOS Dry Shot and am running Autolite 24s. Also on a 100 shot you should pull your timing a little bit. So pull it down 2 degrees or so, so you dont get detention.

4. Window is right around 3000 and a little before you shift, to allow you to actually make the shift or if it is an Auto to allow the car to shift on its own. My car shifts at 5700 and I have my nitrous shut off at 5500.

5. Mounting the bottle in the trunk is where most people have it. If you have a rear seat delete kit in your car you can mount it to that and then have the blow down tube going into your trunk.

6. I ran my nitrous line in my car and I believe it is track safe. I never actually went to the track with my nitrous yet. Also I wouldnt know how to run it on the fox since mine is an SN95.

Also since it is a wet kit you will probably need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
