I had nothing to do tonight for the first night in awhile so I went to Ace Hardware with a 50 dollar gift card that I got for Christmas. I got 3 90* bends, 2 feet of 3"pvc, and a large hose connector and also some high gloss black Krylon paint for 28 bucks.

This is what I got so far, I am trying to match it to the AFM powerpipe as far as bends go.

nothin wrong with low budget innovation! :nice:

It's funny. Monday I was was workin on one for my S/C intake to replace the Vortech dryer hose, except I was using the 3" 45* PVC. I had bought a boostmaster pipe on ebay ( $89 @ uprproductsonline) but since I'm away from home with very limited tools I couldn't cut out the hole (3 1/2 -> 4 1/2). It's a tight space between the 90* bend at the S/C inlet and the inner fender. I had the PVC just right but I didn't have small enough connectors to tie it all together. Today I found the auto craft shop on base and used a cutting wheel to notch the fender hole and a rubber mallet to bend back the tabs and make the hole big enough for the boostmaster. Tomorrow I just need to finish the 1" hoses for the bypass.:)

HACK. I think thats ugly as hell. Black or not, its still PVC pipe.

OH PLEASE jesse, dont talk about hack haha.1st off its cheap and 2nd,JLT,one of the best names out there make thier cold air kits from pvc too.so its not really hack at all if you ask me.

I think he is doing things on a budget. He just did heads/cam/intake himself, and I think he is still in high school.. That is impressive to me.

what do you think JLT's are? you could make your own jlt almost exact. its pvc sanded smooth an painted. to leave it white would be ugle. but paint it all nice an it would look like a jlt. an make the same power any other cold air would, if not more.

+1.
