Car is a 1990 GT with a T-5 , 4.10 gear, and a 23 tooth speedo gear. At first everything was fine but, About 1,000 miles after driving my car after complete build my speedo needle on cluster started bouncing back and forth in like 5-10 mph incriments while driving. Just a few weeks ago it quit all together, and I also noticed trans fluid leaking from the cluster that was running up the cable. The past few days Ive been driving and it hasnt moved off zero. SO...I removed the stock cluster thinking maybe the cable had slid off the back of the cluster...I was suprised to see it was engaged on the cluster, so I checked the transmission end and it looks fine, SO.... and I replaced the stock 120 MPH cluster with a spare 4cyl auto cluster I had laying around (I assumed the transfluid damaged the inside of the cluster) and hooked it up....still not working....
Im asuming either I have 2 bad clusters or the cable is broken...Has anyone seen this before???
