alright, i'm in a slight dilemma.
i currently have 315/35/17' BFG's on 17x10.5" 03 chrome cobra wheels on the back of my stang. I had the rear fenders rolled back in January or february because my tires were getting shredded.
I want to keep my cobra wheels but I want to put a set of drag radials on them and keep them for when i go to the track.
i've also been eyeing some CT-R GT4 Wheels, but unfortunately the idiots can't seem to match the supply up with the demand because the 18x10.5's are out of stock, and have been for the last 2 months with no hint as to when the next batch will be available.
On the CT-R GT4 wheels, I want to run regular street radials, as these will be my drive around wheels, show car wheels.
so since the boneheads over at CT-R don't have the size I want, and I really dont feel like having any more tires shredded or rubbing, what's a good spacer for an 18x9" that will put the wheel close to the fender lip, but not to where it will touch the tire? I like that filled out look, where the tires are pretty close to the outside edge of the fender. Will there be any problems I will run into with using wheel spacers? Is it safe? Will I hear extra noises when driving from the wheel spacers?
here's the specs on the 18x9's from CT-R's websites
18x9" Chrome/weight 26 lbs. /offset 24mm/ backspace 5.95"
