i need race help

However, "only a fool bets with his own money unless the outcome is known." What does that mean? I wouldn't race _anything_ like that, even with a 9 second car for me to drive. You _never_ know what you are running against. I've seen quite a few stealth nitrous systems installed. You can hide the lines, the bottle, etc very effectively, and suck someone's doors off and leave them wondering "what happened there?" We see a ton of 11-12 second rice-burners at the track. Some obvious when you look to see twin turbos. Some look bone stock until they "turn on" at about 100' or so.

It is foolish to bet large coin based on so little information...

Yea id definately have to look his car over and make sure no sneaky stuff was going on. I met a dude once with a sweet turbo 350. That thing would have raped my car but thats obvious. Hopefully the guy is dumb and just has a big mouth

+1

I agree. It is too easy to hide a nitrous system and take some serious time off that 350Z. I would be cautious at least and only bet if I had an ace up my sleeve.

Hey man my friend has a 03 350 with intake and exaust and something else... it was a little mod tho, an all i had was the o/r x and flows. we raced from a dead stop till 120. It was the closest race ive ever had he would jump maybe 1/4 of a car when he shifted then i would come back and jump a 1/4(mines a auto but i manually shifted:rolleyes:), till about top of third bottom fourth then we stayed dead even. It will be a very good race, but i wouldnt bet that much, but yea like everyone else said :Track:

I dont know what's faster a 350z or a turbo toyota supra but i have a 97 gt with pulies 99 cobra tranny steeda tri-ax ****er 16in chrome rims my buddy with the supra and I raced an 1/8 mile
and I got him 2 1/2 length's so i wouldn't say it's impossible but my car hooks up really nicely the supra didn't. I am an alright driver. if you can launch right, shift right, you may edge out the win.

im about to race a 2003 350z with a cold air and exhaust
i drive a 2001 mustang gt with a magnaflow exhaust
the HP is
Nissan.... 287 hp with 260 torque
mustang.... 260 hp with 302 torque
tell me who you think is gona win and if i should by anything real quick for my mustang
oh yea i got 500 on this race
lol you have 500 on this race? So you probably have never been down at race track before and probably cant drive for ****.

I bet that you will both wreck into each other totalling each other's car......

 Probably.

I ran a 350z from about 30 to 70 once. I gained a bit from the jump but he stayed right next to me after that. (in the 4.6 of course).

If that was a 93-98 turbo supra, your buddy couldnt drive to save his life. Even the older turbo supras should give you a darn good run, but they are slow as heck compared to the MKIVs...so dont go around thinking your car is faster than a turbo supra, especially the MKIVs because even a 99+GT would get raped by one. They are on par with a 98-02 SS camaro/WS6 T/A...then with a few mods they will blow away full bolton/cam Camaros/TAs.

#1 performance enhancement for people who want to race:
learn how to powershift for crying out loud.
if I see another youtube video of some "super street race fast and furious jerk" that can't powershift, I'm gonna hurl.
Plus, it's free, all it takes is a little skill.

It's a 88 supra

the supra had some swap from japan IDK these swaps. but it has a upgraded turbo
my car is pretty close to bone stock. and my friend is a decent driver. but I got him by
2 1/2 - 3 lengths. as for the 93-98's the car I am currently trying to buy a car that has rapped a couple of those in it time it's a 2000 GT with a S281 with comp nitrious cams, sneaky pete 150shot, pullies, intake, 373 gears, full length headers, x-pipe, 40 series flows. etc he wants pay off cause it needs a new clutch he only wants $6,000 i think its a good deal what do you guys think?

I call driver's race. I've beating one in my mostly stock 04 GT but not by much. With drag radials you should be able to handle it if you can drive.

I prefer MT Drag Radials, in fact, I'm switching them from my 68 coupe to my 04 before I head to the track saturday. They will let you launch a 4.6 at the rpms where it wants to be launched, without bogging and with little spin.

the best bet to beat a 350z with your mods is to do it on an 1/8th mile course. 1/4 mile gives him the advantage. they have a good top end but your torque is better. both cars weigh about the same. I think the 350 actually weighs a lil more. but i would not bet 500 on the race unless you got some spray or something. id say just loser pays track fees if you really wanna bet but 500 is not a good idea you lose and he will just have more money for mods lol.
