1st question-

flowtech longtubes. a painted new set can be had for $240 from LMR, ceramics for $383. how do these fit? prone to leak anywhere? i think these come with hardware and gaskets as well, are the gaskets any count? i hear 2v cars really respond well to longtubes. the matching x pipe is only $103.

2nd question-

i never really paid attention to the price, i just always assumed bassani meant big money. well LMR has the bassani bx after-cat ( which im sure is the same thing as cat-back ) for $480, REAL close to the price of the magnaflow magnapacks i orginally had in mind.

are the bassani bx mufflers the quiet ones compared to the bassani ss's? are there any other bassani's other than the BX and SS?

thanks guys :SNSign:

The Bassani BX series is just an aluminized version of their more expensive stainless steel catback. Same sound. FWIW, I've had mine on my car for a year and a half and it has no rust and looks good.

Edit: You can also get it from Ninosport Mustang Performance Parts for $489 with free shipping.

i read that somewhere and didnt know if it were true but i see it is now. my next question - how did you like it? i am wanting something VERY loud but still have a tone to it, not just raw noise ( no slp I's or flowmaster 10 series, bullets, etc ). i'll be running a o/r x pipe fwiw

thanks for your help :nice:

I am very happy with it. I have it paired with an o/r prochamber right now and i'm thinking about switching to an o/r x. It would sound great paired with your o/r x pipe.

Here are a couple of examples of that setup...

and here is mine...

^ i appreciate all the clips bud. i was just looking at the same ones just b4 you posted. great minds think alike i guess. i gotta say im a big fan of the o/r X but your pro chamber sure does sound good.

from the clips, the bx kit sounds pretty loud. is it in person?

Thanks for the compliment! It is pretty loud. I have a friend with Magnaflow magnapacks and an o/r x and it is a little louder than mine. I think it is probably due to the x pipe. The prochamber is pretty mellow until you go WOT.

thats one of my other picks : magnapack catback and a o/r x. well, if yours is close to be as loud as his with a prochamber, it probably would be with the x pipe im guessing.

two different sounds but which setup do you favor more: his or yours?

i got my flowtech lt's about a hour ago, i bolted them to the head for $hits and giggles, they bolted right up with NO problems at all:nice:

.

sorry about the pic size....

i cant see the pic at work, our firewall/packeteer blocks alot of images - ghey. i'll have to check it out when i get home.

so the o2 sensors go in on the collector, right? do they go in with ease, threads nice and smooth?

headers come with hardware? cheap stuff or good stuff?

flowtechs matching x pipe is only $98 !

i priced a cheap, full system at LMR - the LT's, x pipe and full Mac catback is $688.85 . and i think they only charge $14.95 flat shipping rate.

yep, the o2's screw into the collector, the treads are clean with no problems screwing them in, it came with hardware, but its the cheap stuff, i might buy stanless steel bolts for it, and they come with 2 o2 extensions :nice:

EDIT: the paint that come on them sucks, i think i am going to buy some high temp header paint, and paint them my self, but i have to say, there great quality for the price!!

i wonder how well a can of header paint from auto zone would do on them  . surely it wouldnt burn off that quick

autozone has this new stuff, it called high temp header paint "with ceramic" it supposed to take temps up to 2000*, so i think i will try that, and i took my dremel and cleaned up some of the welding flash in the primarys, beside that, the quilty is good:nice:

Of course I'm going to say mine!:D But I do love how his car sounds! Like I said earlier, I think I'm going to end up getting the o/r x and sell my prochamber. After that, I have no doubts about which one I will prefer.:nice:
