As much as I hate the Pats it will suck if he is out all year, its never good losing a guy like that. It would be the same as losing Manning or Favre. Those guys are irreplaceable.

Exactly. I don't like the Colts, but i'd hate to see Peyton out because they wouldn't be at their best. Same with when Osi Umemyiora got hurt, even though I hate the Giants, I hated to see him go out for the year.

Did you guys notice that you were playing one of the most inept teams in the entire NFL? Did you notice that the Chiefs lost their starting QB in the 3rd quarter?

Cassel went 13/18 for 152 yards and a TD...hardly a handicap.

You guys need to take off your rose colored glasses and look at this game objectively. There is simply no way around it...the Pats did not look good at all against one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Yeah loosing brodie croyle is the same as loosing tom brady... some think huard to be a upgrade over croyle..

13-18 for 152 and a td is not brady.. they had to shorten the routes up. they could not run anything deep and they had to simplify the offense a lot..

agreed..

Well they are going to have to get somebody in here.. Cassel is more of a stop gap than a starter. Culpepper is a FA and had good results with moss but he has degraded a lot since those days. I guess they have some interest in chris simms

You're a little late for that argument, but I'll mention that when he went out Brady was only 7/11 for 76 yards so he wasn't exactly lighting it up either.

Wow i'm glad i came on late, i started reading the pissing match between redline, jason and 5.0 and was just annoyed and i'll keep my comments to myself.

On the other hand, Never a good thing. I hope he's alright but my fiance has plenty of knee expirence and she said that hit could have been just a bruise or a straight up ACL, MCL etc tear.

Hopefully he's alright :(

It's official, he's done for the year.

Brady's season over after injuring knee vs. Chiefs

Wow this changes everything for there season..

They didn't look too hot during preseason on first team either.. That division just got tighter! Still a bummer, its always awesome having sick nasty teams competing..

In other news, Indy looks like they are going to loose!

OMG you cant be serious... brady played two series three if you separate the one extended by a penalty on a punt where his WR's fumbled.. the first one Welker fumbled and then moss on a deep pass fumbled.. he did not have a chance to light the cheifs up before he got hurt

The patriots lost a 2 time SB MVP, 2007 NFL mvp and TD record holder and you compare that to the cheifs loosing brodie croyle in the 3rd quarter

Of course the pats did not look too good on offense... Do you realize Cassel has not started a football game since HS.. thats right HIGH SCHOOL,The only way they would look the same is if they had peyton manning as a backup and thats just about as silly as comparing croyles loss to brady

BTW nothing is official yet.. until he is placed on the IR he is not out for the season... Most likely he is done for the year but I will hold off until it's offical

And to top it off you compare loosing brady to loosing brodie croyle

Just stop now your making a ass of yourself..

You must suffer from the same reading comprehension issues that Redline does. On top of that you mispelled "losing" and didn't even use the proper form of "you're"....geezzzzzz.

Regardless of his past accomplishements, Brady was not playing too well when he was knocked out and Cassel performed well. And the only comparison I made between losing (please note correct spelling) Brady and Croyle was the effect of losing your starting QB.

Maybe I should buy you this, might get some better discussion in this thread then.

You just earned the award for Most Ignorant Poster in this thread. Way to go, nice job using personal insults.

Brady hasn't played a snap since the Superbowl, he wasn't going to come out in mid-season form. They hadn't even had a chance to gauge what KC was going to try to do to them defensively, so they didn't even get a chance to open it up.

I agree with everything. I'm not calling him out until the PATRIOTS report something. I don't care what Adam said or who said what. It's not official until it comes out of Belichick's mouth. Plus, why was he smiling when asked about Brady's condition? Not saying Brady is perfectly fine, but just think about it.. primary source or "he-said, she-said"?:nice:

Yeah, that all started with me. Should I quote to you his original post on this matter a few pages back?

I hate to tell you this buddy, but if Adam Schefter reports it, you can count on it being true. I'm familar with him from his days in Denver and he doesn't report ANYTHING unless it's verifiable or comes from an extremely reputable source.

you spelled accomplishments wrong.. if you plan on being the grammar police then you better be one hundred percent correct..

I don't claim to have perfect spelling or grammar.. in fact I don't give a **** my ct is one of my common writing miscues, but I can read and you are a fool.. you compared loosing brodie croyle in the third quarter to loosing tom brady in the first.. and that makes you a fool

See here is where you are lost.. it's not my or anybody else's reading that is the problem.. it's what YOU wrote.. it's foolish

BTW resorting to the grammar police crap is a common act of somebody cornered in a message board argument..

Just admit it, you wanted to hammer the team, you looked at the score and knew nothing else of the game.. then only after we hammered you on it you realized what happened in the game.

Here is the facts for the fact challenged..

1. the patriots won today with a qb who has not started a regular season game since HS..

2. the drives where tom brady played two of them resulted in fumbles..

3.. YOU did not see the game.. If you watched the game and had even a basic knowledge of the game you would see that the patriots offense was not the same with cassel no matter what the numbers.. just the passing yards alone should show you that, it's about 60 percent the average they produce with brady against weak teams

Cassel did OK against a team that did not game plan for him.. next week when the Jets game plan for him they might have a tough time passing the ball..

So I guess in your mind when a teammate fumbles it's the qb's fault? what was he supposed to do use superpowers to run 40 yards up field and stop the ball from hitting the ground when moss fumbled. I really don't understand what you expected out of the pats after loosing brady. and I really don't understand what you expected of brady in the few plays he played after not playing since feb.

You need the football for dummies book..

Hmmm lets see...misspell "accomplishments" (which was actually a typo) or misspell "losing" and use the wrong form of "you're"....I'll take the former, TYVM.

And something tells me you wouldn't know anything about football beyond what you read on a fantasy football stat sheet.

Ohh, so when you don't spell something correctly it's a typo, but if somebody else does then they're ignorant and don't know grammar? I'm glad you cleared that up for us.

But, by your logic then if losing Brady in the first and losing Croyle in the 3rd is equal, then losing Peyton Manning and Rex Grossman would be equal too, huh?

Did I not just say I don't care about my spelling and grammar.. I was just pointing out how you trashed mine and then misspelled a word.. in the same post..

If you want to be the grammar police you better be perfect.. Somebody else will have to check yours because I admit that is not my strong point, I don't need good grammar or spelling for my job or for anything else in my life and school was many years ago. You can try to make yourself feel better by spelling better in a argument you are loosing.. but the fact remains.. you are still the guy that thinks loosing croyle in the third quarter is the same as loosing brady. I don't care if you have a doctorate in english all that means is your nonsense is correctly spelled and your grammar is good, none of that sort of correct grammar makes your point logical.

So you can be the master of spelling and I will be the one to point out how foolish your sort of correctly spelled foolish comments are :nice:

Ohh one last thing, the part of your post questioning my knowledge of football was kind of funny considering I am not the one looking at the score and commenting on a game I did not see.

BTW I am off to bed I have to go to work in the AM

Guess I'm gonna have to requote this since you went back and edited it.

Just admit it, you wanted to hammer the team, you looked at the score and knew nothing else of the game.. then only after we hammered you on it you realized what happened in the game.
Why would you assume that I want to hammer on your team?

Here is the facts for the fact challenged..

1. the patriots won today with a qb who has not started a regular season game since HS..
True, but lets keep in mind he backed up TWO Heisman trophy winners at USC.
3.. YOU did not see the game..
Another idiotic assumption with no facts to back it up.

If you watched the game and had even a basic knowledge of the game you would see that the patriots offense was not the same with cassel no matter what the numbers..
If you had even the slightest bit of reading comprehension skills you'd see I never disagreed with that.

Yeah, and I don't know football. :rlaugh: Let me guess, you never played the game right? Well in that case let me remind you that a fumble by the WR would happen AFTER the catch was made and would not effect Brady's numbers at all outside of shortening the drive.
