Hope it's not serious. We need at least 1 of the best 3 QB's in the AFC to actually be good this year. (Brady, Manning, Roethlisberger)
Tis ok, cause the Pats won't even make the Post Season
does not matter to me if they make the post season.. Cassel is garbage he got lucky in the cheifs game, did not do much in the jets game and he could not do a thing today..
WITH THE SAME PLAYERS WHO SET NFL RECORDS LAST YEAR...
I am torn on finishing ahead of the jets or go for a high draft pick in this waste year
It would be nice to see them get a high draft pick and pick up James Lauranitus or Rey Malauga (or however you spell it). Or maybe a really good db.
But man, i'd love to see them be ahead of the Jets.
I dunno man, I would say that Miami was there weakest oppenet and they still lost. the teams are just going to get harder
That being said, the Pats just had an all around bad day. They should be able to come back and make the playoffs but Buffalo is the team to beat in that division. They are looking pretty good
They probably will still finish ahead of the jets but thats all I expect until brady comes back and we have a offense again.
WOW I knew brady was great but I did not realize that he carried the offense this much, they look horrible without him...
Hopefully O'connel will do better against the niners.. If cassel starts I am going to watch just to see how bad of a disaster that game turns into.
Did you get to see that game.. The announcers were saying at one point how poised and natural cassel looked and you can see the talent..

BTW for anybody who did not see the game once again the numbers don't tell the story.. the dolphins dropped a few picks. the only passes this guy can kind of throw are 4-5 yards.. even those are scary..
WTH = pats lose one game and you guys are already looking at getting a high draft pick in the draft? Jesus Brady is one player. There is still a whole team that needs to fail before you guys call this season a waste season.

They also lost to an awful Miami team in '04 when they were dominating the league. They seemed to do fine after that.
(altho they still had Brady)New England has to come out with more intensity after the bye week; they were flat and just plain awful today. I don't think they'll have another one like it against somebody as bad as Miami.
I still think they can beat most of the teams on their schedule if they don't come out and play as poorly as they did today.. but who knows.

In the preseason, it seemed like Cassell was still just as bad and that whenever Matt G. and O'Connell would come in they'd start making comebacks and putting up TD's.

they need to give daunte cullpepper a call him and moss together again would be interesting.
At least they all played like crap as a Team. Every team is going to have games this season like the Patriots did today. Its a division rival game and the dolphins have ALWAYS given the patriots trouble no matter how bad the dolphins are. Miami's record has nothing to do w/ how hard they always play the patriots.
Im not sure how far back these stats go but the Patriots have not lost back to back games for a very long time and have not lost after a bye week for a very long time. Maybe someone has more info on that
Bill Belichick had never lost after a bye week until they lost to the Giants in the superbowl.
I gave my prediction on the last page (or maybe a couple pages ago). Green Bay over Dallas.
