ok here the thing my mom just bought a 08 GT mustang 5 speed and she wants it to be louder ive been lookin for some exhaust for it and have read that if u change to a offroad xpipe tht the check engine light will set is there any way around this? also if i were to leave the x pipe alone wht would b my best for mufflers to get something that is much louder and sounds good? thanks for any help also i heard that changing up your exhaust affects ur mpg is this true?

Well you'll need MIL Eliminators at the very least. I've heard a lot of problems with them not working though. To get rid of the CEL for sure you'd need to get a programmer like the Xcal3 and have the tuner turn off the rear 02s. I'd recommend Justin at VMPTuning.com, he does an AMAZING job on these cars. I think I'd do the O/R X Pipe first with the factory mufflers and see how she likes it. It's going to be pretty loud. I doubt you will see any mileage increase, but you will gain about 3-4 rwhp from the cats being deleted and about 15 rwhp from the tune.

maybe the borla stingers? if you want loud axle-back, macs has the boom tubes, slp has the loudmouth, pypes has the muffler delete. it'll be loud, and as far as i'm aware, axle-backs don't void warranty. I could be wrong though.

wht snds best pypes violator axle back or the muffler delete kit? and which is the loudest? also y is the muffler delete more expensive when its nothing but a straight pipe doesnt make much sense
