Glad to see Redline having so much fun as his team sits there at 3-2..

I have nothing to lose the expectations of the team this year are low. They could make the playoffs and hell great if they do its just a bonus. I expected the patriots to be in the superbowl last year and long before they were there. This year its different, now I get to $hit on everyone else b/c no matter what is said about the patriots and who they lose to and by how much its no big deal b/c the bar is not set very high to begin with.

That was a chargers team they had rolled on the past few years and they just got blown out. Stark difference from last year

I think last night showed how much the Giants miss Strahan and Osi. They were prepared for MS retirement but losing Osi also is a huge blow. There really was no pass rush last night. Anderson made them pay dearly when he had so much time back there.

Oh well, back to the drawing board. They better figure something out between now and Sunday. :nice:

One little point that keeps pissing me off about that catch that you guys say there was holding (which there was not, you can keep telling yourself there was to make yourself feel better). but wasn't that play 3rd down? There was still another down where the giants could have gotten a first down. So just because he made a catch like that and got the first, didn't mean they still couldn't have one down later.

One game at a time thats what i've always told myself. After the how pissed off the browns looked last night, i think they have turned there corner :rlaugh:

Go Browns!! Gave a nice whopping to the SB champs. :nice: That is the way that the Browns should be playing. I was at that game last night. All I can say is, WOW!. It was amazing. :nice:

maybe you can explain then cause I don't get it...

so you guys are the dogs? or dog pound? and what's with the odd claymation looking dog masks people wear? I even think we saw some warewolves in the crowd...wtf?

you guys should have a contest to pick a mascott or something...lol...and the winner gets season tickets; and what's the deal with the numbers that look like someone with a sharpie drew on the helmet? You should keep doing that if it help get :Teh-Win:

LOL. I wondered the same thing too about the numbers on the helmets. Looked like high school helmets with the numbers hand drawn on them. Whelp, in any case they beat the crap out of the Giants. All 3 NFC East teams lost this week after all the sports networks were singing their praises. It's kinda funny in a disgusting way.

There was holding. If an unbiased person were to take a look they'd see it. If a Pats fan looks at it, they'll see it.. but a Giants fan won't see it. I believe the hold was against Jarvis Green, but it could've been Seymour; can't remember exactly, it's been a while since i've seen the play. That might have been third down, but if he didn't catch it or it was whistled dead it would've made it 4th and long. The official behind Eli on that play was putting his whistle in his mouth to blow it dead right as Eli broke free, that would've made it about 4th and 12 or so.

However, that game is in the past and I'd really not like to get into an argument about it. That game still makes my stomach hurt, so I try not to think about it when I can. So, this will be my last comment on the matter for this argument. :nice:

Oddly, I've seen the play shown on ESPN and the NFL Network + others 100's of times. Not once did a commentator suggest that there was holding on that play. I guess it's something only a Pats fan can see. If there was holding, it wasn't something blantant or obvious.

Well, to be fair.. i'm sure there were some holding calls that would've gone against us that didn't get called. Just didn't happen on a play as critical or replayed as much as that one.

Like some of the former O-line/D-line guys say, there's holding to some extent on just about every play.

That's true but the officials have to be consistant. I remember when Strahan was in his prime, he was held on every play to some extend. It was maddening seeing it and never getting the call. The year he broke the sack record was the worst. Jon Runyan of the Eagles was the biggest culprit. That's why I didn't mind one bit that Favre "helped" Strahan get that last sack. If holding was called that year, Strahan may have had 50 sacks!

In the NFC, the team that currently gets aaway with the most holding is Dallas's oline, IMO.

All this talk about fair weather fans....my 2 cents:

Unfortunately, I'd say that about 50% of NFL fans OR MORE are fairweather fans. Right now most fans are swinging on the nuts of the Pats, the Steelers, the Cows, the Giants, or the Colts. The year that the Steelers won the SB, EVERYONE and their mom was a Colts fan, UNTIL the Colts lost to the Steelers in the playoffs. Then everyone was suddenly on the Pitt bandwagon. Unfortunately, the only way to know who the true fans are is to see who still cheers them on when they suck. Like me for example. I'm a Dolphins fan. Last year when they beat Baltimore in their ONE win of the season, if you were at my house you would've thought that they just won the SB. I'm also a UK Wildcats fan....I don't think I need to say anything there....

I also can't stand fans who change who they cheer for when they move. My best friend moved to Cinci and now all of a sudden he's a Bengles, Bear cats, and Reds fanatic, and he didn't even used to watch baseball. Before he moved, he was a Vikings fan. Now he constantly talks trash about WVU, even though 3 years ago he still lived here in WV and cheered for them. I think if you can't go to a different city and still cheer for YOUR team, you're a :taco:. Ok I'm done ranting. Band wagon fans just piss me off....

Amen! :hail2:

I was born a Giants fan, i'll die one. It has been a hell of a year and a half for me now that we have a "decent' team. BUT when my team is out of the playoff picture, there are still teams i like to see win.

First and foremost though - i'm a Giants fan! :nice:

Your going to freeze your ass off!!!!!!!!!

For real?! They say a low in the 40's, but hopefully it'll be really cold. :D

+1 I hate that crap. I love the Pats and will continue to do so through the good and bad times. I've been a St. Louis Cardinals fan my entire life and in '06 when they won it all i was ecstatic, but then in '07 they were awful.. and this past year was a little better. Gonna stick by them however well they do.

I'm also a fan of certain players, such as Griffey Jr. He's the main one that i'll follow around and support whatever team he's on. I don't think that's being a fairweather fan because the Reds were awful when he went there and I cheered for them.

I'll always cheer the pats on, I just dont expect them to make it far this season. There is a difference between team pride and team expectations.

I hear that, I will pull for them but I just don't have as high of expectations as I did coming into the year before Brady went down. But I still have hope. :nice:
