SRT8 Jeep with full exhaust and intake with tune has been video'd doing high 12.8's. The exhaust comes out the middle of the bumper, good luck towing anything - lol.
suvs and trucks with high hp numbers make me laugh , they are awfully slow , they weight a ton , this car is no diffrence than a Porsche cayenne turbo which is awfully slow aswell(beaten them with ease from a roll) with a whooping 521 lazy horses no matter how much they mod them , put all that **** on them they stall cant take a bolton 05 , or a similarly moded mustang , hell... it takes 6k to buy the kit off for a normal tundra , id be doing whillies all day with that kind of money
13.3 with 500'ish hp is not awfully slow? and if you wana magazine race , pretty much anything look better on paper than a mustang.
The arguement is not what can or can not be done with 500hp. And If you want to talk about 500hp being pathetic, look at the new GT500. Magazines typically test them to 12.7. Last one I saw at the track struggled to run 13.4 in warm-sticky weather while my 4cyl was running 13.0's. I seriously doubt I can break 300hp at the wheels too!
this "option" costs about 6k , now top of the notch supercharger setup + forged internals for a 2v mustang + labor wouldn’t cost that much and would probably net you somewhere mid 400s
what i realy want to say , its another car on the road and its nothing to be worried about if all they could manage is high 13s with 500 hp.

A Porsche Cayenne Turbo would walk your car man. My buddy has one that’s bone stock and has went mid 13s @ 105.
.Its not when your talking about an AWD SUV that can seat 4 comfortably and still have tons of room for whatever. Not to mention they take to mods fairly well.
What can we expect from a S/C RCSB good for maybee another 1/2 sec?????.
fine every one wants a s/c 1/4 mile time i think its very poor for the money

Uhh obviously you haven’t priced a supercharger and motor out. I spent around $3,500 for my old supercharger setup, and another $3,500 for a built shortblock which I am sure prices have went up since I bought mine. Right there you are at $6,000 and haven’t even installed anything yet or tuned it.

if you say so bud , nobody can argue that you know it all , i guess you can also guess what times my car run on the strip by staring at my sig .
its RWD and not a AWD , 2 seater thats claiming mid/high 13s , the AWD model with TRD upgrade barely touching 13s/low 14s. .
i guess you need to shop around more
and i wasnt talking about swapping the shortblock , stock one should suffice for 400+ rwhp and is more than enough to whoop those yachts , starting from your humble little V1 S-trim at 2.600 shipped ( Maf and fuel injectors run 500 ish) if you pice the kit yourself and $300-500 for install which leave you with 3k to get forged pistons and rods ( $860 shipped ) + labor and gaskets ( $600-$700 )and such which totals somewhere around 5k for a good to run mustang ready.
hotmustang331 best run (that he posted) was 12.02 @ 125MPH with a 2.0x 60' time.
Oh. Damn, Turbos and he didnt get a second faster?
His newer tamer car is faster![]()
And if you think you going to have someone build you a motor for $600-$700 you’re crazy. Hell most performance shops around here want $1000 to install headers. FYI pulling, rebuilding and then reinstalling a motor is a little harder and more time consuming than putting on headers.
I'm not trying to be a smartass I'm just telling you this because I've been there and done it. Its a hell of a lot more expensive than what most think it is. Trust me if you think you plan on spending $5,000 on a build you better have $7,500-$10,000 saved up because you always go over.

what the **** do I care if something out runs my car? I use my FORD TRUCK to haul **** around, it could run a ****ing 20 second quarter mile for all I care.Mogs - did your 4.6 GT run a quicker 1/4 off the showroom floor than that truck?
i did my cams for $250ish (can even check that in my thread about getting my cams installed if you want ) , a header install is $100 here with all the wielding included .
i already quoted a full rebuild and did my math , i don't live in the USA , i am sorry that your rates are inflamed but a full engine rebuild here is around $350 with my parts 600-700 was with gaskets seals etc.... and i thought i was getting robbed
and i am going to find out what my car runs after getting it tuned.

Import truck companies cannot compete with the big 3!! Go to any construction site and they are all Fords, GMs or Dodges).

What welding? That may show the quality of work your getting.
Sorry but its just not adding up.
How is a engine rebuild only $250 more than installing headers? ,
How much are they charging you an hour?
How are the gaskets and the extra parts another $350? (the same price as the entire rebuild)
Are you taking this to a performance shop or just some shop that does automotive work?
Once again I'm not trying to be an ass just trying to figure this shop out. You really need to do some checking into these guys. A header install or cam install is pretty simple compared to a motor rebuild.
