Having trouble with getting full thread.from mobile can a moderator turn this to a couple page choices?
Ok , I pulled the TPS connector and ran a jumper wire between the orange and green posts.
Then I pulled codes and got the following KOEO- 21,23,24 and 67
Using a dedicated ground wire from the DVM back to the neg batt post I got the following at the ECU, KOEO
4.93 volts on the dark green TP signal wire at the ECU - 47
10.67 volts on the red ECU power wire- 57
Looks like a bad ECU??????? Ouch!!
What do you guys think??
Warranty that TPS replacement.

Update-
Got a new TPS. Checked voltage on the green wire and got .14v![]()
So I guess it is not the TPS sensor.
Just for giggles, I swapped in a known good C3W EEC. Got .14 volts again on the green wire of the TPS. So I guess that rules out the EEC.
The only thing left is the wiring harness.
Time to start jumping wires![]()
DH5 CHECK VOLTAGE BETWEEN VREF AND SIG RTN CIRCUITS TO TP SENSOR
Disconnect TP sensor.
Key on, engine off.
Measure voltage between VREF and SIG RTN circuits at the TP sensor harness connector.
Is voltage between 4.0 and 6.0 volts?
Yes No
KEY OFF. GO to DH6 . GO to C1 .
C1 WAS VREF GREATER THAN 6.0 VOLTS?
Was VREF greater than 6.0 volts when measured in the previous test step?
Yes No
KEY OFF. GO to C35 (to check VREF for short to power). GO to C2 .
With KOEO and TPS sensor disconnected, voltage at connector between VREF-orange and SIGRTN- black is 4.9 volts.
What is next step??

DH5 CHECK VOLTAGE BETWEEN VREF AND SIG RTN CIRCUITS TO TP SENSOR
Disconnect TP sensor.
Key on, engine off.
Measure voltage between VREF and SIG RTN circuits at the TP sensor harness connector.
Is voltage between 4.0 and 6.0 volts? Yes, 4.9 volts
DH6 CHECK TP CIRCUIT FOR OPEN IN HARNESS
Disconnect PCM.
Measure resistance of TP circuit between PCM harness connector pin and TP harness connector.
Is resistance less than 5.0 ohms? Yes .5 ohms
DH7 CHECK TP SENSOR VOLTAGE TO PCM
Reconnect PCM and TP sensor.
Start engine and idle for 2 minutes.
Access TP PID (TP V PID).
Slowly open the throttle from closed position and observe PID(s).
Is TP PID (TP V PID) reading at any time between 3.42-9.85% (0.17-0.49 volt)?
Yes No Yes (.16v - 1.3volts linear) replaced TPS, made no difference, still get .16 volts
DH10 CHECK TP CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO VREF OR VPWR IN HARNESS
Disconnect PCM.
Measure resistance between TP and VPWR circuits at the PCM harness connector.
Measure resistance between TP and VREF circuits at the PCM harness connector. (For 150 PIN PCM and 122 PCM PIN, measure to both VREF pins.)
Is each resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes No
NO - with ohm meter set on 2K
47(TP)-37 (VPWR)= 1 47(TP)-57VPWR)=1
47(TP)-26(VREF) = 1.24
Looks like a short in the (TP) (VPWR) circuit
DH14 CHECK TP CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO PWR GND OR SIG RTN IN HARNESS
Disconnect PCM.
Disconnect scan tool from DLC.
Measure resistance between TP and PWR GND circuits at the PCM harness connector.
Measure resistance between TP and SIG RTN circuits at the PCM harness connector.
Are both resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes No
NO- With ohm meter set at 2k
47(TP)- 40(PWRGRD) =1
47(TP) - 60(PWRGRD) = 1
47(TP) - 46(SIGRTN)= .66
Looks like a short circuit in the (TP)(PWRGRD) circuit
DH21 CHECK TP SENSOR HARNESS FOR INTERMITTENT OPENS OR SHORTS
Again access the TP PID (TP V PID).
Key on, engine off.
Complete the following:
Grasp the vehicle harness closest to the TP sensor connector.
Shake and bend a small section of the harness all the way to the dash panel.
Wiggle, shake and bend the harness from the dash panel to the PCM.
Is TP PID (TP V PID) reading changing below the minimum 9.85% (0.49 volt) or above the maximum 93% (4.65 volts)?
Yes No
ISOLATE and REPAIR as necessary. Unable to duplicate or identify fault at this time.GO to Z1
NO- Voltage held steady at .16 despite wiggling and shaking harness
Looks like I might have 2 shorts. How do I chase these down without cutting up the harness???

What is a "breakout box"? I am using one of those standard digital volt/ohm meters.
codes come back to 21,24,84 are all on signal return pin 46... than code 87 and pin test C1 both use eec relay, still hate to guess but its sounding like the relay that other guy ripped me on and said i was stupid......might be faulty...... ,code 24,I got ACT,not mapUPDATE

C2- Check VREF voltage between pin 26 and pin 46 - 4.89 volts
Just for the heck of it, I pulled codes and got the following-
21- ECT out of self test range
24- MAP sensor out of self test range
81- TAD circuit failure
82 - TAB circuit failure
84- EGR vacuum circuit failure
87- fuel pump primary circuit failure
81,82,84 are smog related. I have removed the smog pump and hoses but EGR is still in place.
Last time I pulled KOEO, it was clean - code 11. What the heck is going on here???
