let's see your gauge setups

so ive been thinking of running a full set of autometer gauges instead of the gauge cluster and also some on the pillar as well... whos running aftermarket gauge clusters for the dash? just lookin to get some ideas

i talked to a guy w/ the electric water temp gauge, same as mine...the temp would just spike all of a sudden, go from 180-250+...he cracked #3 wall on a 351 b/c of it...
i noticed mine did not keep up with the stock sending unit using the tweecer to log temp... mine would show 160 when the ect showed 180... he bought a $20 mechanical water temp gauge from oreily's and said it works just fine...
im going to do a little research since i have all autometer and they SHOULD be the best...

This is my old setup with Lunar guages.

The new setup as it is now, the clock pod will be going back in when i get the wideband installed.

Do you solder the LED's in were the orig. bulbs were or are the bulbs you just plug in?

VERY interesting...more so since most autometer lights suck unless you get the newer ones. pro comp/sport comps lighting is not so great.

From what i heard... its not 2 bad but sometimes the quality isnt great... some are textured some are not... (not sure whats what...) my clock doesent work anyway.... im gonna get one....

I bought them from superbrightleds.com and they just plug in just like the original lights did... Took an hour to do everything

Yes.. I used the CW5's for the cluster and the Blue 5 Led ones for the autometers...

The only downside is that they don't dim very much.. You can turn the dimmer all the way down and they're still pretty bright, but they look AMAZING at night and I'm very happy..

Cost like $43 total for all seven plus shipping

Thanks for the links and great info/idea. I am doing this over the winter for sure.

I have the cluster almost out anyway as I am installing a two gauge cluster pod/panel anyway...might as well undo a few more bolts and upgrade the lighting.

i actually have that problem now. I have to turn the knob way down at night sometimes cause the gauges are too bright. I have to upgrade my headlights next...
