SO I Just raced a stock 350z I had him in 1st and second, as soon as we hit third it was no contest he took me like I wasn't even moving. Is this normal? Is 6 speed manuals that much better? And mine is bone stock also and it is an 09 GT. With CAI and tune should it fix that problem?

just practice. they are 6 tenths slower then us stock if i remember correctly. a cai and a tune should be great if you don't have problems with traction.

what were you shifting at? how were you shifting?

The Z has fantastic gearing with that 6 speed. My GF has one and I used to work on them. Unless you're a complete tool it's almost impossible to be in the wrong gears since they're so close together that's how they are quick.

Yeah the 350s are quick and we are just a bit quicker but at that point its the driver. The 5 spd on the GT is a lot trickier to drive than the 350. Go drive the 6spd 350 and youll see what we are talking about

i've stayed dead even with a 350z stock for stock. i spun hard in 2nd gear but we were neck and neck till he let off at 80. i wanna find him again and see how he likes my CAI and tune.

CAI and Tune is good for 25+ RWHP on the S197s then get some 4.10 gears, those 350s and 370s will have no chance.
