Car is at 48k miles after 8 years. I just got her out of my garage now that winter is done, and I'm taking her in for a service next weekend. I don't know what Ford recommends for 50k. Right now I plan on:

Oil Change
Trans Fluid (been 20k since last change)
Fuel filter (never changed)
Spark Plugs (never changed)

Just cleaned the K&N so air filter is all set.

Anything else I should do? I'm tempted to do the IAC because my Idle is beginning to wobble a little.

Thanks:nice:

Rear end fluid changed:shrug: Might as well while your at it. You should be good with what you listed and that. You'd probably be fine just leaving the plugs. I don't like leaving things go until the last minute of thier life cycle so i'd change them. Also a coolant flush.

Yea i mean some guys say they are good to 100k but there is no way i would let them go that long. Go ahead and change them. I mean i've changed mine 3 times since i've had my car since Dec. 04

Yeah that gets me thinking though... the car runs fine and those plugs havent blown out the heads. They seem to be in there good. I might change them and then have to deal with all that crap.

If 50k miles isnt a lot for plugs then I think I'm going to wait until I get the Trick Flow heads later this year.

Just drove the Stang for the first time this year. Shes been garaged since Nov and she fired up instantly. Was great to get her back on the road again!:nice::nice:

As said above, the usual oil and filter change, fuel filter change, coolant flush and refill. Although not specifically mentioned in the Ford owner's manual, a transmission fluid and differential fluid change is a good idea (I did this too). Also change the brake fluid and bleed the brakes.

Per Ford, the stock platinum spark plugs don't need to be changed until 100k miles. It's debatable whether it's worthwhile to change them at this point.

Thanks guys. The plugs can wait till the headswap. Added coolant and diff fluid to the list instead. Brakes were bled recently when I installed the Cobras.
