I was going to order a Spec Stage 1 clutch, but Ive heard that the throwout bearing sucks, the clutch chatters and it's not worth the money.

The Fidanza 2.1 is $280 on AM, it includes the Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc, Throwout Bearing, Pilot Bearing and Alignment Key.

Spec Stage 2 is $335 on AM, it includes the Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc, Throwout Bearing, and Alignment Key.

So the Fidanza Im getting the Pilot bearing, which Im not with the Spec 2.

Thats no big deal I could just order one, I was just wondering what do you think is better? Thanks guys

I've had very bad luck with Spec. I'll never buy another one of their clutches.

I have the Fidanza 2.1 right now with one of their aluminum flywheels and I'm very happy with it. Pedal is about the same as stock. Been to the track multiple times and beat this clutch pretty good. Still holding up great.

Adrock, I was just wondering as to which stage clutch did you get from SPEC

The first one was a stage 2. Afte 1k miles of break in it burned up on the second run at the track. I sent it back. They sent me a stage 3 to replce it. The splines in the disc started to wallow out. I sent it back. They sent me another stage 3. Same thing. And this was in a 2003 Hyndai Tiburon that didn't put out near the power the Stang does. When I sent the THIRD clutch back along with the aluminum flywheel they sent me a stage 3 for the Stang and a new Fidanza aluminum flywheel. I sold the clutch, kept the flywheel. I lost so much money because of the Spec crap that I'll never have one of their clutches ever again.
