These are my mods...what you think?

Well I am going to be taking my stang to the dyno in a few days.....This is my first dyno experience so I am very excited! I just recently re-did the whole car from the inside out, when I took it for a test driver lets just say I was a little disapointed (def. needs a tune) BUT I wanted to list my mods for people with simular set ups and experence with dyno's to see if anyone can guess what kind of power I will be putting out at the rear wheels. ALSO if anyone knows of any good questions to ask the dyno tuner? I will be keeping in touch when the results are in!

its the track heat intake, but I wont be using the nitrous on the dyno, I was kinda hoping for at lease 300hp. why do you say .060 is a bad thing?

The block is a thinwall casting, and sometime in the 70s Ford started really cutting back on the material they left in the castings. It may cause certain areas of the cylinder wall to be thin and weak. That's why the machine shop will 'sonic check' the block, but I'm guessing most cheaper shops can't, or at least won't usually do that unless you request it.

Well thats pretty *****y I always thought that .060 was such a small amount of metal that it did not matter. They didn't mention anything about it making the block weaker when they were performing the bore. But they did sonic test it I know that, they are a good machine shop. I also have forged aluminum pistons that will help distribute the heat better, but the nitrous is more for purging then spraying, but it is set up for a 50 shot right now.

Any other guess's? I took the car to the dyno yesterday and had to drop it off so I might not be getting video footage :notnice: But Im going up wth my old man on thursday and he might be running it then. I plan on adding 3.73 gears within the next month, is that going to help with HP any or just torque?

Well I went to the dyno the other day and he put it on for a little bit and did a few runs, but still not done. It pushed about 100rwhp without any tuning :rlaugh: (needs a few more hours of work) it also had a vaccum leak or some unmetered air coming in, ran very lean and high idel. But when I was there was a man named " Mike Dez" (sp) he has a shop in mass. and has been in a few 5.0 and mustang mags. was wondering if anyone has herd of the name? But I was just keeping the thread alive I will have the final numbers hopfully by thr middle of the week! :nice:
