05+ Wheels on fox using 96+ spindles and axles?

I know that the 05+ wheels have an offset that makes them tuck in on a fox. And the 96-04 spindles and rear axles are wider than a stock fox track width.

So, could you use these together as a 5lug alternative to open up the options of the 05+ rims? Has anyone here done this? Just curious, because I see so many great deals on factory rims.

I would not use 96-04 Spindles without an Aftermarket K Member or you will get a nasty case of Bumpsteer! Out back with 94-98 Axles you might be able to get those wheels to work.

I have the M2300K brakes on mine, which replaces the spindles with the '94 versions to mount the Cobra brakes. It was fine as far as bump-steer until I did the aftermarket K-member, then bump-steer was downright dangerous...I put offset bushings & bump-steer kit into it & now it's a little better, but I think I need to go over the spacers on the bump-steer kit again & do some fine-tuning.

I can tell you that the wheels from my buddies '03 Cobra fit beautifully on mine the way it sits. Because of the wider rim compared to the '01 wheels I have on it, they were not as "tucked" in the front. Not sure what the difference in the offset vs. rim width are on the '05+ compared to the '03 Cobra wheels though.

Really only the wider SVO/ Mark VII rear end or say a 99-04 rear end would look right with the 05+ wheels in the rear. Here are the dimensions:

94-98 SN95 is 3/4" wider per side, total of 1.5"
99-04 is ~1.55" wider per side, total of over 3"
SVO/Mark VII is 1.25" wider per side, total of 2.5"

I have some pics I scanned from one of the mags where they put the 05+ wheels on a SVO and it looked pretty decent. Anything else, and they are tucked in too much.

Actually, the new take off company selling 05+ wheels sells a 1" spacer for the SN95 cars to use with the 05+ wheels. So if you put the spacer on a 94-98 SN95, that rear would be about 3.5" wider than a Fox.

For the fronts, you would probably want to use longer A arms with the SN95 spindles, but again, it would just be some experimentation to get it fitting right.

Yep, the 94-95 Spindles go with the Stock K Member, and the only time 96-04 Spindles should be used is with the Aftermarket K Member.

Are you saying I should replace the '94 spindles I have with '96+ since I have the aftermarket K-member? I did notice that the front tires are more tucked-in now than they were with the stock K-member & '94 spindles...
