Howdy Y'all

I'm Jinx. I've been a member for a long time. I don't post too often cause my car has been sitting for like 3 years. I was hoping to do some work on it this summer. As usual though my plans ain't going like I thought out

hey guys its a great idea to start this im John from eastern pa just got my first mustang 94 GT still working out some wiring issues right now and then it will be on to some body work

You still planning a big block swap?

Yeah eventually. My goal for the time being is just get it running. I have thought it over and decided to buy a cheap stocker. Throw that in it and build the 514 over time. I have talked to prokiller maybe? Or one of the guys on here about buying his block with the b cam and throwing some parts at it. Probably just swap all my stock stuff over. Maybe get a set of gt 40 heads or something cheap. I wanna be able to play with my car again till the monster is done.

The Ram is still the first priority though. I HOPE when I call the shop today he's ready for the rest of my engine parts. I wanna get it running. I miss driving a big truck. I feel like a sissy driving my explorer lol

You could always look into something like an Explorer/Mountaineer swap. You get some GT40 or GT40P heads, a GT40 based intake, and the same shortblock you had stock. Not a bad way to go, to get back on the road and pick up some power along the way.

Wouldn't swaping a stock gt 40 for a Trickflow be ass backwards ?

Adam I was wondering the same thing.

Hey all

Like a couple of other folks here, my name is Matt as well. I have been trolling through the forums here for the last couple of months, gathering info, just checking out everyone's thoughts.

I have a bone stock (except for a crappy Sony CD player), black, '95 GT. Its in better than decent shape body wise. I have an issue on my passenger door that i will need to address at some point (thank you jack a**es in the parking ramp at school) and the hood has the usual stone chips. My AC has a leak. Everything else works like new (including the AODE, which is just as slow shifting as the day the car rolled off the assembly line).

So, I started poking around here (and elsewhere) trying to figure out what to do to make my car actually get up to 35 mph faster than I can by foot. I had heard a lot of different people say a lot of different things, and I just did not know who to believe, so I started investigating for myself.

As of now, my plans are as follows:

1. 4.10 for the rear end

2. Dallas Mustang Speedcal thingy (I wanna know how fast I am going, so I can argue should the need arise)

3. Something to "spruce up" the shifting of the slushbox

In any event, that is a little info on where I stand. Glad to be here and thanks to everyone who takes the time to put out the wealth of info that is available here.

p.s. I need to get some pics taken, but that entails a decent wash and wax, which ain't gonna happen 'til at least this weekend, so when that's done, I will post some.
