I've owned a Fox since 1990. I have an '04 V6 Mustang for DD duty but, I'm always looking for reasons to drive my Capri instead.

and if that wasent bad enough....the plastic junk intake on my grand marquis cracked....I had antifreeze going everywhere.......not a cheap fix at all.......

How about you guys/gals? have you ever tried to peel yourself away from these cars but find yourself coming back?
), quiet as hell (stoopid stock single exhaust), it's leaking three different fluids at any given time, and I can't carry as much in it as I'd like to (I miss having a little pickup truck). BUT ... the gas mileage is decent (24+ MPG on average), it's fairly comfortable as a DD, it's in better shape overall than teh Notch (fewer dings, better paint, and fewer miles), and parts are just as easily and cheaply acquired for it. I'll probably ditch it someday in favor of another compact truck (S10 or Ranger), but ONLY because I'll still have another Fox in my possession. If something ever happened to teh Notch ... another stupid old-fart snowbird that can't drive, theft, random catastrophic underhood fire, whatever ... then my '84 would become my weekend toy by default and would get all of teh Notch's salvagable goodies.
Just curious, but what in your mind made it a POS and a Fox its superior?the new edge was a POS imo.
I just got offered 11k for my coupe, and the guy was dead serious... i have to call him back tonight...![]()
couldnt tell you when I was selling my other GT how many people called and offered to trade 4-wheelers for my car.
Personal preference, probably.![]()

I've gone through this a million times. My '90 has been in Autotrader on three different occassions but I always end up taking the ad down after a day or two. Just can't do it. It's getting up there in age (315k miles) and although it runs hard it isn't in the best shape. I'm down to driving it once or twice a month. Still, all it takes is a quick cruise around the neighborhood to remind my why I love this car so much. It's just a blast. Especially after driving my '92. lol I've gotten a couple offers on the '92 but nothing I would bother entertaining. I haven't gotten what I would consider to be a serious offer. Otherwise, who knows. Obviously my '90 is much more fun to romp on but the '92 is in better condition. It's also my daily driver and where I work $50k+ cars grow on trees. Sometimes I wish I could be DD'ing something newer but there is an unexplainable satisfaction I get out of driving these cars. If I'm going to spend the extra money it has to be something I'm passionate about. There are many new cars that I like, or "wouldn't mind owning" but so far nothing that I wouldn't be ready to get rid of in two years. So, I have a dilemma, I have owned 6 foxes over the last 10 years and I will sell one get a new one or sell one and say "Oh I'm going to try something different" but I always come back to a fox. Lately I have been on a real kick to sell my car and pickup a New Edge Saleen. Ever since I laid eyes on one I knew I had to have one someday and financially for me the timing is right.
This morning I started up the Fox and drove it to work, and as I am driving it I'm thinking to myself I cant sell this Car I love it, then All these plans are running through my head "Oh I should change this or upgrade that, maybe change the wheels finally start my T5 conversion....rear disc... The point is, these car's are hard not to like and being someone who has owned as many as I have it's hard to let go. So I think it's safe to say, whether I pick up a Saleen down the road, there will always be a place in my garage for a Fox. Sorry I had to rant

power to weight ratio.

sell sell sell, i would sell if i got that offer
I'd sell.
As much as I love my car, if an offer like that ever crosses my lap...it's gone.
Hellooooo 03/04 Cobra!!
I'd love to get back into a 99-04 Mustang. I loved mine. I really want an Azure Blue '04 Mach 1, but i'll settle for a termi![]()
I'm not actively seeking to sell my Fox, but if i'm ever at a show and someone legitimately makes a good offer...it's gone.

When i was selling my '03 GT, i got about 3 offers to trade a 4-wheeler plus cash for the car.
