tearing into ....down a 1971 351 W 2V ....not sure what flat tappet cam kit to run/buy.??....going into a stock 90 mustang coupe w/a 5.0 rear end ...the bottom end is all stock ....with reworked stock heads....converstion oil pan kit ...I was thinking a 650 cfm carb - 4 bbl....edlebrock low rise dual plane manifold ...but I plan on putting a gear drive (love the sound...I know they are only for drag cars but I can't help it) ....but I really want a choppy choppy lump lump idle ....I'll put a vacuum assist on it along w/a stall converter .....it's an automatic ....running pump gas ....switching from points to hei .....a friend suggested the following
Cam kit w/ .530 Lift and 282 deg of adv duration ...for the choppy idle I would like .........what you guys think?.....really lost on this one ....hate to spend the $$ and be wrong.....any advice/suggestions really would be helpful and appreicated ....

The cam that chgovfk isn't the same cam you have in anycase.
