A/C removal

I am taking out the A/C pump all the lines an everything to the A/C on my 94 GT. Can i just get a shorter belt or do i have to get something to move the p/s pump up. If i have to get anything, can someone tell me what i need. I am removing the Smog an the A/C, figured would take some weight off an be better.

Thanks, i can figure the belt size, just didn't want to go threw all the crap get it together an learn that i need a pulley or something.

so what wuz the new belt size after taking off the ac? im going your route an would love to take the guesswork outa figuring it out.

You can either get a shorter belt, or get a "dumby" pulley from someone like Ford Racing; like $50??

OK SO SAY I GET THE BELTS OK AND go to take out the ac mine dont work anyway, so i remove a bunch of crap, what hapens to my computer ecu when its got wires clips that arent pluged in? will i get a check engine light er run bad? i guess i could just run out an disconect all em first an see what happens if i cant finda answer...

There should be no check engine light that comes on.
