Need Help...Hard Coolant Lines

I need help with the hard coolant lines (the black ones that run on the passenger side of the intake manifold to the heater core hoses). Well I was putting on my stock intake since I took off my cobra one since I will be doing the Cash For Clunkers offer. I am only doing this because I have so many problems with the car and I need a car within the next week.

I some how made a gash in the threads where the coolant temp sensor screws in. I have the coolant temp sensor slightly cross threaded in and RTV coating it. Its only like two threads in.

Now if this doesnt work and it leaks what other options do I have?

It only has to last until you get to the dealer. As part of the program, the car must be destined to become several manhole covers.

At least your not parting the car out. Parting out a mustang is sacriligous I was at a big Mustang junkyard the other day and there was a very nice foxbody and the guy said he was going to part it out and not sell the whole car and I about died... lol

Yeah... My oil pan is leaking like crazy and I dont have the time to keep fixing it... The past year the car has become very unrealiable for me as a daily driver and has broken down many times. I would rather have a payment every month for a new car that is realiable rather then dumping money to my mustang that is hasnt run correctly in a year and a half.

Could I just get an adapter and put the sensor in the intake hole and the cap off the hose coming out the water pump and then just connect the two heater hoses together?

use some jbweld,thread it in as much as you can and let it dry.
only needs to make it too the dealer.
they are going to seize the engine and crush it anyways.
too bad it wont be parted out,there are a lot of poeple trying too keep their mustang running.
it sucks alot of good parts are going to waste.

Davis I think that you jinxed me on this one...Well today when I went to start the car back up, my motor seized on me in my driveway. I think I might be parting it out now...I have to figure out what I am going to be doing...I am still pondering how it happened because I cant think of anything falling into the chambers I always tape them off right after I remove the lower and I always tape off the lower so nothing could fall in.

yeah you can just remove those hard lines, they only feed the heater core. i dont remember if the temp sensor will thread right into that hole or if you will need an adapter. you can also just plug the line that comes off the water pump

sorry to hear that.
i hope you figure things out,i know you said you needed a car asap.trading it in would have been a good deal for you.
maybe you can find someone to take the whole car off your hands,instead of parting it out.
that will take forever to get the cash for a down payment on a car.

Get a big breaker bar, and see if you can crack it loose and getting running again. Tow it to the dealer, and see if you can drive it up to the sales man.

Parting out a car is part of life. If people would be respectful of the value of the parts in a car when they bought one, people wouldn't have to part them out. It's not like there is a lack of Fox body Mustangs in this world.

When I put in the Vortech, we just replaced the hard lines with hoses.. I spent extra for good fittings and steel braided hose, but a standard rubber hose from the auto parts score will work.
