Pulley Alignment Issue

I just got my motor back today and am starting to bolt on the front accessories. I bolted on my underdrive crank pulley to my PP Balancer and my underdrive pulley to my new water pump and this is what I got::

Are there two styles of timing covers or something on these motors? I compared the old water pump with the new one and there was no difference between the two (snout length or any other dimension). That's why I'm guessin the timing cover. I guess it could be the balancer but I dunno.

Just for info, the block is an 87 block and the water pump is a factory replacement from O'Reilly

Well I have a professional products street/strip balancer, and I didn't think they made more than one type for the 5.0

if u go to there site it says Spacers required for some applications. u can see that the stock 1 does stick out more

The parts you have are correct. You're just missing the 7/8" spacers that go between the pulley and the balancer.

Thanks man. That makes me feel better. Haha. Hopefully they're not too expensive.

Anyone know though if there two styles of timing covers though? Bc my ARP engine fastener kit's water pump bolts except for two are not long enough
