Are the rear leaf springs the same

Finished up rebuilding the 9" which I'm swapping into my 67. This is a 6cyl to V8 conversion. Are the rear leaf springs the same on the 6 vs. the V8 (1967)?

Thanks in advance.

No. The 6 springs were lame. And if your's haven't sagged halfway to the ground, it's amazing, the sixes were known for saggy springs.

Even the standard V8 had softer springs than the GT.

You can get show-correct GT rate springs from Glazier Nolan complete with eye and U bolts, and shackles, for $185.

I have seen rear leaf springs that say they are a replacement for "all". I wonder what those are.

You definitely want V8 springs up front. I would recommend GT springs for the rear.

GN uses the 1967 GT FB springs as a general purpose replacement, with excellent results. I have them on my 66 FB. With 64-66 cars, you need to re-use your tie bolts, or get new ones, because the springs come with the 67-73 "short" style, while the 64-66 requires the "tall" style.
