That was a **** call by the Ref at the end. The ref spoted the ball back when forward progress would have dictated a first down. The pats could not challenge since it was outside the 2 minute mark and had no timeouts left.

Basically the Pats got triple screwed: Bad decision (but he got the first down), bad spot, bad rules.

Never thought I would defend the Pats.

Receiver was juggling the ball, so no forward progress until he gains control, which was behind the marker. The Ref was standing right in front of him. Anybody call Redline and tell him to back off the cliff????

What Tony said -

It was a good call.

Tuck Rule. Bad rule no. 1

Browns are having a helluva season! :D

Isn't it a little early to be gloatin? :bs: 18 years of loosing seasons?

PS no I'm not bitter about the loss yesterday. Bout time Cincy started playing well with all the top ten pics they've had it was a matter of time that they got it right. Great job by the head office staying the course with Marvin Lewis :nice:

You feel my pain....Bengals been there with us until this year :)

aaaaaaand the browns drop another one.

you know, I have been a browns fan since they came back in 99. I watched them even longer than that but never really got into it until then. All I have to say is they are by far the worse team I have ever watched and dont even know if I can watch any more of there games. It is just so pathetic of a team. I keep watching thinking, ok, this is the game to at least to something........:nonono:

We play Detroit next week, and honestly, I think they are going to whoop us. Our offense completely blows, play calling sucks....One good thing is our D is finally looking decent. I mean, we held Baltimore scoreless going into the half.......they just cant get off the field to last all 4 qrts

And to top off last nights game, with 4 secs left in the game, down by 16, On our own 30, we decide we want to try and score, and what happens....Our best player, Cribbs, gets a cheap shot and gets taken off the field in a stretcher....Seriously? :nonono:
He is the only reason why Browns fans still watch them....Oh and Brady.....Come on man! When you finally throw down field past 15 yards.....at least keep the ball in the field of play. Two throws in a row they landed 10 ft out of bounds :bang:.....did I mention all his throws up until the last 2 mins of the game, were 10 yards or less......WTF :nonono::nonono:

I'm not gloating. I just like to mess with Bakos about the Browns. I am happy that Bengals are playing well and would never try to deny that they typically play like crap. That has always been my frustration is that they have picked up a lot of talent but never seem to be able to put it all together and play a full game.

Yup, sure do....thus why I like to give you a hard time about the Browns. I watched some of the "highlights" and half the passes I thought maybe they had a ninja WR on the sideline.

:rlaugh: That was the biggest bonehead call I've ever seen. Belichick has dain bramage.

I disagree.. I think AFTER the 4th and 2 failed belichick should have let them walk in.. BUT the 4th and 2 was a good call and I would do it myself.

I'm no expert, but what a mistake. Good game though.

It was his only chance

agreed on the bad spot the bogus PI call on the previous colts drive was even worse.. This is why I am 100 percent behind Belichicks choice to go for it on 4th..

I have seen in many games in the PI dome ( Both the new and old dome are the PI dome as far as I am concerned) that the colts get the home town calls.. Happened to the pats many times.. plus I have even seen it in games against other teams such as the colts-steelers 2005 afc divisional game or the 2007 divisional game against SD..

So giving the ball back to the colts is 100 percent chance of them scoring, all the colts would have to do is get in range to gun it to the end zone get the PI call and walk in from the 1.. This has to be in the back of belichicks mind and I think is one of the main reasons for the decision he made.

I rather put it all on the line on a 4th and 2 than watch peyton march 30 yards and then get a 49 yard PI call and then watch them walk in.

Ok and even if you think I am out of my mind on the likely hood of PI being called look at how quick the colts managed to score on two earlier drives..

It was a gutsy call that only BB and a handful of other coaches would have the balls to do..

It might have not worked but BB has some sack  Hell that call made me like him a lot more.. Any asshat could have done the easy thing and punt it and just let the defense take the blame for the loss.. he put himself right in the line of fire of the ignorant.

I thought the play call itself sucked. I wouldn't really have gone for it cause you know Payton is pretty much automatic if he is that close. I thought the spot was right. He was bobbling the ball and that is where he gained full control.

I think the colts would have scored even from their own 1 yard line had they punted it.

In foxboro I would have punted it. but in indy I agree with BB call

so how do u expect to win the superbowl this year when ur AFFRAID of peyton manning? you saying that your defense can't come up with a big stop? i agree with you though the pats had no chance of stopping the colts even from the 1. manning picked that team apart the entire 4th quarter.
