new wheels just arrived

my new wheels just arrived and they look great-the pictures at summit kind of suck but these look really good in person and the price was great.

anyone else run these?

dude- $80.00 each from summit. they are on clearance. greg weld prolite series drag wheels. not as good looking as a weld draglite but less than half the cost.

summit does not charge sales tax or shipping. just a "handling" fee of $12.95
the sizes are 15 x 5 for front and 15 x 10 w/6" bs for back

tires are front 185/60r15 and rears are 295/65r15

now just gotta make them fit..(looks around for giant sledge hammer and sawzall) j/k

anyway that IS cheap so i will definately post if i run into any issues with them.

A 275/60/15 is a 28" tires, a 295/65 is larger than the tire that came on my F250!

thats what i thought then i saw an ad in the classifieds where a guy is selling them with pics on his notch. shows tire clearance, etc and i pm'd him, got the wheel size, etc. the title is "hoosier 295/65r15 slicks cheap!" so i hope they will, otherwise i will get some 275/60's but i couldnt pass up the deal, $100.00 for both, from craigslist. and they are like new.

they're like 30"
if they do fit, i wonder if my motor can spin them?

nice, Im gonna check summit out, see if they have 15x5s and 15x8s. I like those rims, probably look alot better w/out the silly spinner centercap.

whats the bolt spacing (4 lug)?

says this->
"For 4x4.5 in. bolt pattern use centered lug nut washers; 4x4.25 in. bolt pattern use offset lug nut washers."
I dont know what the means though

basically a shank style lug nut which uses a washer with an offset hole.

these also feel really light, im not sure of the weight though. i was going to weigh them but i already mounted the tires.

Ive never ran those off-set lugs, does it seem pretty sturdy? you know what I mean? I dont wanna spend a few hundred bucks on a ghetto setup.

all cragar style wheels with slotted lugs are the same concept and have been around forever. these use an offset washer instead of the cragar style which has a regular washer. the washers sit perfectly into a countersunk hole which makes for less movement than the cragar setup in my mind. so i think greg weld improved upon a time tested shank/washer design with these. i know they probably have a lower torque handliong capability than some other wheels but would be fine for "our" stuff

I have them for my notch. They are not on the car right now as I'm still building the car.
I have 15x3.5s w/ 195/55x15 Nitto NT450s on the front and 15x8s w/ 275/60x15 MT Drag Radials on the Rear. I love how they look. I wish I had a better pictures of how they looked on the car when I test fitted them....
