all this talk abotu gears is making me want to go pull my 3.73's for a set of 4.56's
DONT FEAR THE GEAR!!!!
4.10's are perfect for a modded 5.0, hell im going to put 4.30's in my 98, has 4.10's now and at 70mph its at 2500rpm, thats not too much at all, 1st isnt useless with a good tire (dr) and it feels like a jet pulling.. i really would like to try a 4.56 sometime..
i would get 22-24mpg in my 89 lx with a tremec and 4.10's everyday i drove it.
prob to much MPH to go 11's with 410's.... but you only really need 110-113 to go 11's"Ive ran 3.08, 3.55, 3.73 and 4.10, 4.10s are best for 12 sec. or slower, 3.73s for 11s"
how do you figure?
That's what i'm sayin. If i had money to burn i'd have a custom T56 built with a crazy highway ratio for 6th and i'd put 4.30s in.

4.10s could get you enough MPH to go 10's, so could 4.30's. in a stick car
I had 3.73s with a 5 spd in my last fox and thought it was a bit too much. going 3.55 in the one I have now.

Which exhaust is the best?

lol Yep.Rear end gears and exhaust threads have to be the two topics that never seem to die, haha.
Should I buy ones with muffler bearings?
yes... but you will need a metric adjustable to get them in...
btw if you guys think 373's are to much you would never want to drive my car. im REALLY thinking i should throw some 430's in mine with a 28inch tire.

LOL I just have a hard time controlling the traction unless the tires are all heated up and a steeper set of gears would make that all the more challenging. I could get it down as I have with all other combos, just too much money.. Im already $1,000 into my rearend alone![]()
