I have new struts that were on my car when i got it, who ever put them on did not use the spacers for my year. Do any of you know where to get them or what washer to use instead?

Here is a pic:

Thanks in advance,

Are you talking about the metal sleeve that goes on the strut rod , just at the top where the bushing goes? Factory one is long, you typically use the short ones when you have CC plates or the strut has a short rod. I have a couple that came with my Eibach struts. Not using them because I have stock mounts.

No, it is the plates you see in the pic above with the 4 holes, I have a gap where the bolts go through. Thx for responding.

Do you have a pre-87 or 4-cyl Mustang? That's what the spacer is for. The spindle on those models has a slightly narrower mounting flange then the 87-93's, so the spacer is needed. Guys have used washers as substitutes as well

Mike! What happened! Have a few too many last night?!? :D

The 87-93 V8 cars have the narrower mounting point on the spindle and require the spacers for the universal struts. My first set of replacement struts were Monroes and they had the spacers with them so they would fit the 4cyl or pre 87 car without the spacers, or a V8 with them.

Ok, I know what you mean now. I got 4 of those with the Eibach struts. I think I was only able to fit one on each side. Impossible to get a second with the tiny space left. I cranked in pretty tight so hopefully that should be ok.

Check LRS for those. Should have them. Thogh they have a $15 flat rate shipping charge, so you might as well pick something else up while you're shopping.

And to correct you, they have two holes in each one... not four. Enough for one bolt to pass through each one . :p :p :p
