Front Control Arm Ball Joints Replacement

IMHO it is far better and easier to just replace the whole lower control arm with part M-3075-D. This replaces the ball joints and the bushings all at once and is easier to install.

That part is discontinued. I was all set to buy some, got delayed and put it off for a few weeks and then they were gone.

Google turns up a couple of places that still list them but contact them and make sure they're really in stock, ready to ship.

Woops.. Just did the part number research and we are talking about the same control arm... CRAP... I was going to order a pair of those today.

Is there any other GOOD quality control arms without having to convert to coil-overs out there?

So, anyone else know of any good replacement front control arms since the only OEM replacement isn't available anymore? I'm hesitant to get the tubular ones with the spring cups due to potential strength loss, but I'm open to any suggestions out there.

I haven't seen any replacements for 94-04, just 2005+ for some reason. Your best bet is probably rebuild yours but the bushings are known to be a real pain in the ass.

Nice of Ford to tell us that the front control arms should be replaced as a unit and are not rebuildable and then pull the plug on the replacement units. I though they were supposed to support a model for 10 years after manufacture? They still have control arms for Foxes but none for SN95s.

Maximum Motorsports has ONE set M-3075-D left in stock for $299 and ZERO on order which the sales agent said is "not a good sign [on future availability]".

If you want it you best order it soon...

And I agree its total crap that Ford is leaving the 99-04 people hanging, this is just one example.

+1 for replacing the whole control arm, especially if you want to add a set of springs.

I just did a Cobra control arm install on my 02 GT vert w/ an Eibach Pro-Kit and UPR 4 bolt CC plates
