reusing lower control arm

Hello all, lower ball joint is gone and I want to make a reusable lower arm, similarly as the upper arm is designed. Wondering is there any separate lower ball joint available for v8 spindle? Is the end rod trapezoid the same as the upper one? Thanks for any advice

I have considered the same thing but eventually gave up on the idea. It seems there are no decent parts available for doing this and the arm was not really designed to be done like that but rather to be purchased as a complete assembly. Even if you find decent parts now, you might not find them 5 years down the road when trying to do it again. The OE arm works fine in normal driving but some on the market are coming out of China. Most people stay with those made by Moog, it is a better and heavier unit.

I thought I could save a few $ buy re-building my original arms but when I considered that I only cover 2000 to 4000 miles per year, I figured I would never wearout the new ones, so I just bought the complete arms.

You can weld in sleeves for screw in ball joints, then it would be serviceable. Check with Opentracker.

I did just that with the open tracker kit.

butt load of work. You'll need an air grinder to grind off the rivets...then we punched them out. an air chisel would have made easy work of it. You then need to open the opening a little by simply grinding it, then welding on the sleeve

I found out CJ pony sells just lower ball joints that does not use welded-in sleeve ring. I was loooking for exactly the same thing, yet rather a replacement part from other car that fits mustang.,

You know the 67 and 68 lower arms are different right?
