Build Thread Jamee's Build Up Thread

Awesome. Thank you. I was thinking of fixing or swapping into a clear title fox, but I really like the early SN's. I think I may go ahead and do it since it I may have found a good one for 300$. V6 has a cracked head.

Next question/round of questions: The donor is an auto. Will my pedal assembly swap over?

How about my springs and shocks? I have ebaich and kyb's. I think I heard they will work but not sure.

Thanks guys....Sorry to thread jack, but this was an inspiration!:)

Best to make your own thread if you want to continue this conversation. Let Jamie's thread be about Jamie's car. I'll answer your question in your new thread.

Ordering the last few parts I need before I can throw engine in (motor mounts, clutch cable etc)
Thinking about some other things to do while waiting
I'm not big on the black/tan interior because of the tan is almost an orange and is very far off from black. Was thinking of redoing some things and trying to acheive something such as this
browninterior3.jpg

Also want to install a wood grain kit, not sure if it'd be a darker wood or lighter...
Any opinions?

refresh our memory on the exterior color scheme?

As far as the pic above, hopefully it's just the monitor I'm looking at, but that looks like a kinda metallic gold on top of the tan. I'm a firm believer in "do what you like", but since you asked for opinions, I'll offer that I'm not liking what I see in the pic. I am by no means an expert on color compatibility, but that just doesn't seem to work for me.

One of the things you have to be cautious of, IMHO, is doing something that might be trendy now but won't work in a year or two. Tastefully done two-tone interiors will stand the test of time; colors/schemes that are extremely trendy will look tacky 5 years from now.

ty for the opinion
as for the color, it's just dark brown, with some creme-colored accessories
I'm not trying to make it look trendy or cutting edge or anything, I just have old grandpa car styling and taste I suppose, want it to look relaxing. Does knowing that it'd be brown help at all? it's not going to be gold/organish, just dark brown

if your not a fan of the black and saddle. i would say go to an all black scheme. unless thats not your thing. I personally wouldnt go for all brown. but then maybe thats just me. all black interior is my favorite, black and saddle is a close second.:nice:

dunno, I'm indecisive. I like the black/tan but I think tan/brown would look classier and I'm very picky so I'm not sure what I'm going to do... guess I should focus on getting the engine in more than tinkering with other stuff :-/ I just wish it was done.. lol

I personally love black/saddle interiors, but black/black definately makes the inside temp hotter. Our white stang on any sunny day seems to always be hotter than any other. We just sold our 2000 that was green on the outside and had a brown/cream interior. I liked it too. I'm not outrageously picky on my interiors though, as long as they look nice I'm pretty happy. Can't wait to see what you go with.

yeah... me too lol

so i guess the car is no longer for sale?

correct, I finished rebuilding the engine and trans so it'd be dumb to quit this far in. Now all I need to do is throw them in the car, but I still need some nick nack parts before I can do that

do yourself a huge favor Jamee, buy a new one. Reman'd ones are iffy and used ones WILL eventually leave you on the side of the road. Summit has a nice billet piece for under 200 bucks. You can score a brand spanking new dizzy from Advance for 100 bucks, but it is not a normal stocked item and they'll need to order it in. The part number is FD22 and don't let them sell you a reman unit, just trust me on that.
