I thought we were talking about what you could buy the car for, not what the sticker price was? the fact remains, he picked it up for $29k. If you're willing to pay MSRP and dealer mark up for a new car, that's your deal, but I never would and I don't know of anyone else who would either. Getting the first ones off the lot when very few dealers had them because you want to be the first guy on your block is going to cost you no matter what you buy, but now that every dealership has them and is offering incentives, nobody pays those prices...at least nobody with any bargaining sense?
So let’s say it was $30k base for argument sake and he pays $7,199 for the blower and another $1,000 for install. That's still under $39k for 525hp and full factory warranty and still a hell of a deal. Especially when the GT500's
START at $50k....then you wanna see dealer mark up.
As for the warranty...its my understanding that the 12/12,000 is for the blower itself (the same as the warranty offered for the last Roush kits). The official press release states that you maintain your factory powertrain warranty when dealer installed.
And since this is the deal Ford offered with their last Ford Racing blower packages for the 3V Mustangs, I don't know why we should think it would be any different now with the new power plant?
Geee....you just pick the first expensive car you see, don't you (interesting that when I looked that $40K was the most expensive one I found)? The dealership you buy your first new car from is going to love you.
I prefer to spend more than 5-seconds on an internet search when I'm about to drop $30K on a car and look for ones like these.

...need I go on, or will you actually concede that there are deals out there to be had and not everyone pays $40K for their 2011 Mustang GT?
Oh and these were randomly picked, from across the US just so you don't think I'm purposley being bias and picking them all from high priced dealerships, in a state known for selling cars at a huge mark up or anything.
How do I look at it? Well, I certainly don't use a dealer marked down car that's been sitting on a lot for 3-5 years that dealerships have to practically give away to sell to make room for current stock as my example and compare it to a car that's not 3-months into its first year of production and call it "Even Steven".
I mean really....if you want to play that game, why not compare the price difference of an old stock '07-'09 GT still sitting on the lot to an '07-'09 GT500? Or better still, let’s wait 3-5 years to see what an old stock Mustang GT sells for (if there even are any) when they're trying to make room for the 2013-2015 models and then revisit this thread?
C'mon man....tell me you weren't serious when you made that comparison?
