Any special issues on 96 GTs?

I'm somewhat regular on the 94-95 page, but never wander over this way... Howdy!

My dad just picked up a 96 GT Vert with <30k on the clock. Seems like a very nice car (he's in NY, I'm in Alaska, so it'll be a while before I see it). Any issues with the 96 GT that he ought to be aware of? I'm pretty well-versed on the things that can go wrong other than engine/tranny issues that would be different from my 95.

If he has the manifold with the plastic coolant crossover, it will fail eventually. Everyone's had to replace them with the manifold that has an aluminum coolant crossover. I gave away a good one with the aluminum crossover last Christmas.

The whole manifold has to be replaced? It's plastic? WTH?

Do a search on it. You can even look at the link in my sig for replacement. It's not real hard and you can probably get a replacement for fairly cheap. Other's will start telling you to go PI... that's a whole other story.
