94-98 sail panels on 99-04?

Has anyone tried to install 94-98 sail panels on a 99-04? The reason I ask is that they look like they "may" fit, and have the nice angled window cutout like the Bullitt and Mach 1.

They won't work right. I stripped a 96 that someone gave me and I had the same idea. Just holding it up to my 04 gt I knew it wouldn't be right. I seem to remember something about how the back edge where it meets the back glass being an issue, as well.

Ah nuts. Does the 94-98 use different rear glass than the 99-04?
