Ok, took the 01 in to get painted in January, it had less than a 1/4 maybe an 1/8 or less in the tank when we dropped it off. Picked it up a couple of days ago and went right to the gas station and put 20 bucks in it and she was running fine. Pulled it out today to clean the water spots off it and before it got out of the drive it had a miss. I figured it was just bad gas working its way out but just in case I put some fuel injector cleaner in it, drove it about 15 or so miles and it still has the miss. Could it have a fouled plug misfiring and not be throwing a code?

It took them 3 months to do a paint job? Any reason why? And after THAT much time, are you sure they didn't screw around with your car? I'd say pull the plugs and inspect them...maybe even replace them.

It took three months cause the guy worked it with when he had time between other jobs, way things worked out its a good thing he did. I was not in a hurry to get it back, I don't drive it in the winter anyway.

Oh ok...well I'd say start with the plugs and check the wires while you're at it. It's weird how you can have your car running perfectly and then it sits for a while and has a million problems when you start it up again. And sometimes your car can have a million problems but then when you let it sit for a while all the problems just magically vanish. Sheesh...good luck with it.

Follow up on this, car gave me a cylinder 4 missfire code yesterday, change the # 4 plug and still runs like chit. Moved the #4 COP to #5 plug then it gave me a #5 misfire, problem followed the COP, new part and she's running fine.
Thanks for all the suggestions with this!
