should i just use the gaskets that came with my bbk equal length headers or use the permatex high temp silicone.also will this clear my strut towers or should i just drop the motor in and then install the headers?i have the maximum motorsports steering shaft .

lay the headers in the bay and drop the engine between them. Did your BBK's come with the copper gaskets? if not get those. they kick ass.

If the motors out like it sounds like put the headers on now! You can get a socket on a few and better access to a lot of them and really crank down on them

they come with the regular bbk gaskets a friend of mine at work told me to just use high heat silicone claims that a friend of his that has been on overhaulin' puts all his headers on this way.

My motor into car with the headers on it... I used dead soft aluminum gaskets with arp bolts and rtv on the threads of the bolts

ok dropped the motor in today but i used convertible motor mounts and what a mistake my equal length shorties are rubbing alittle on my maximum motorsports steering shaft .i was thinking of making some stainless steel shims and setting them between the k-member and motor mounts or would i be better off just buying regular motor mounts?
