Stock 5.0 Cam specifications

Well I have a few questions about Cams.

My 88 GT is really loapy.

Was there different cams made for 5.0 foxbody platforms?

I read somewhere that 88 had the most aggressive cam?

I just need someone to chime in.

The below is a post made by Bullitt95 made on another site. The stock cam is really tame and shouldn't really be causing any lope.

Lobe lift 0.278"/0.278"

Well, since August is the start of the next year model, you might as well say that 85-88 models have the first cam, and 89-95 models use the 2nd cam.

I have always heard that 85-86 engines have a separate cam spec too... but I don't know that for sure.

As other stock cams go, those are some pretty racey specs... However, I wouldn't expect to hear much lope out of it with such high LSAs.

The stock GT cam is tame and there's no lope. Opening duration is pretty modest and with the wide LSA, there's not much valve overlap.
