Yup. The coil overs aren't even close to the tire. There is actually plenty of inner fender clearance. If I were to do it all over again, I would have fabbed a solid mount for the upper subframe to eliminate those bushings. That would have given me enough room to run a 10" wheel and a 295 tire.
Project anti-bling was a success. Painted pretty much all the parts I wanted to this weekend. I seriously love this wrinkle paint. It just has a unique look.
The only other part I may do is the alternator. I really don't want to take it apart, so I'll have to look into if it's okay to paint it while it's together. The only bling left in the engine bay should be the pulleys and accessory brackets. Here's the last picture I took when everything was together. Gives you an idea of what has been painted and what will stay.

The water pump and throttle body are both bare polished aluminum. A little scuffing and cleaning was all that was needed.
I am intrigued I have the same pump and TB ( I thought they were chrome)

I still enjoy and appreciate a shiny engine bay. I'm just over it personally. The bare polished aluminum hoops on my True Forged wheels is all the polishing I will tolerate!
My hoops are also polished on the inside. I'm still dealing with breaking in the new pads and rotors. Needless to say, the wheels come off and get cleaned/polished after every drive. Paint sealants don't work very well on aluminum, so I'm going to try some wax to see if that helps the cause.

I completely forgot about that thread. I read it before I bought my wheels. TF also offered it for sale when I bought them, but I told them I need to stop the bleeding in my wallet before I spend another dime on anything wheel related. It may be time to finally spend that sealant money.

Damn. Zoop Seal went out of business 3 years ago? LOL shows you how long its been since I bought that stuff. Honestly, I first bought it at a Turkey Rod Run in 2000 and it lasted me about 10 years or so as you use very little. I'm going to need to buy some more as it gets old polishing all the bling every month or so. Think I'll get the master kit .
