the good...
nothing broke... drove it back onto the trailer under its own power drove it into the garage again this morning under its own power

now... the bad...
i have 1 of 3 issues...
to much gear... to loose of a converter... 3rd gear slipping
im thinking its 3rd gear slipping. when i tried to use the transbrake it held for about a second and pushed forward. if i run it past somewhere between 800 and 900 feet its on the limiter. so the plan is to adjust the bands and make sure i didnt screw that up when i put the trans together. change trans fluid and see if i can tighten up the converter a bit. and lastly i need to pick up a PMS to get past the rev limiter

so the results
7.55@90 to the 1/8 on 10* of base timing which results to around 11.7@113 ish out the back. 1.62 60'
got a few tricks still up my sleeve to pick up some ET still...

Ok, remind me of your setup right now. I remember something about some BIG heads.

Nice numbers too, makes me hopeful that I will get an 11 second pass once I get it to hook.

yea this is still the GT40 motor...

the highport stuff is in the garage sitting on top the 9.5 block

already worked a deal with a friend of mine for a PMS just gotta go pick it up

No joke man! It is the closest, most convienent track for me, but it is rough. The "we don't care" attitude makes it hard too.

The right lane was the worst for me. I had to ride the clutch or use the e brake to keep from rolling out of the beams. LoL! My times were crappy. But it did run about 97mph. I had street tires on, so I wasn't expecting a decent ET. Im going to get some slicks and see what it will do. I feel it will do 100mph, but thats about it.

needs more power!!!

I use my line lock to keep from rolling out. FYI, the rumor is that that track is a couple of feet short to help make up times for the track being uphill. My MPH have always been about 3 miles an hour faster at paradise because of the last beam being closer than normal.

after talking to a few guys... my front band needs to be a 1/4 turn tighter.

yea had a little air... that was a 1.62 60' which i think we can get down to a 1.45 or so
