Anytime you can put a bearing on by warming it it's better. This keeps you from cocking it, and tearing up the fit while forcing it on. Usually when it is being started is when it cocks, then the sleeve slips and hits the cage resulting in said damage. You can heat a bearing with an induction heater, (expensive tool) or in an oven. Never put a flame on a bearing. The shock heat stress relieves the rollers and ruins them. The press is a great tool for removal, and sometimes just has to be used for installation, but great care must me used to avoid damage.
K, cool beans.

Would it help to cool off the other parts the hearings are going onto(axles, pinion gear, diff.)?

I have a cooler that is big enough to hold them.

Typically, it's not necessary. You can expand the bore of a bearing several thousanths with heat. We never use cold unless we are shrinking a sleeve to install.

@Boosted92LX I just can help myself here :)
You know how ball breaking gets on the job site. I've seen this meme before; after we had some alignment issues on a 200 hp pump motor lmfao. No hard feelings just had to derail

Noobz?! Have you ever tried an olive in your beer? I think not! Olives help to impart a slightly salty flavor, with a savory flavor that you should try prior to condemning. Haters gonna hate.:fuss:

Step out buddy, try something new. It's gooooood.

Ok, just salt for you then. That's something my grandma used to show me back in the sixties when I was just a boy.

Grandma would give me drinks of her Pabst Blue Ribbon, and grandpa would give me drinks of his whiskey and hits off of his cigar. Both of my parents are long dead now, I can talk freely about what grandma and grandpa used to do without them getting upset.

I'm an olive nut, always have liked them. For me, they go great in beer.

I was never an olive liked till two things happened:

I started drinking martinis, ( aka straight vodka )

We went to Spain.

Since then, especially the latter, where they serve a really good, very green olive as a tid-bit before a meal.

Since coming home from there, occasionally the wife and I will cut up a bunch of cheeses, get some crackers, get some salami/ summer sausage and pour a bowl full of them olives. open a bottle of wine, put on some music, and call that dinner.

So, coilovers, I was thinking of getting a true coil over now.

What do y'all think is the best at a deal price? QA1's single adjustable? Viking's? I'm thinking in the $600-700 price range. This is for the rear, btw.

I'll be buying them in two weeks, just want to hear your thoughts on this topic.
