Progress Thread My Kenne Bell Twin Screw'd Foxbody thread, (new addition to the family)

From LaSota

We always have used a one-way valve between my PCV valve and the blower. A one way valve from a Supra or even a brake booster one way valve can be used.

This will not be enough. You will probably have to run one to the other valve cover and run both.

Also.... That oil inlet is going to have go into your CAI before the throttle blade, me thinks. :chin

Just the thought of having to unbolt the KB just to remove the driver side valve cover makes me want to scream
:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:

Don't sweat it for now. You'll probably just need to empty your catch-can a little more often. The trouble is that the PCV socket is very small and creates a lot of air velocity. That fast moving air is what picks up all the oil. You would want to vent/vac the other cover from a source other than the PCV port anyway.

So both valve covers should have a sealed vent to the intake tract, right? My PCV should route to a sealed catch can, then catch can routed to Flowzilla inlet. Sound good?

I will be speed density so unmetered air is not an issue but I just replaced ALL of my gaskets and seals and do not want my rear main seal or oil pan gasket blowing out from a poor or non-functional PCV system.

Yep... So long as it's closed off. If you have excess crank pressure after that, you cold always do a on-way vent to atmosphere.

Perhaps...?

i have never tried it and here's why:

Thinking about it, I would STILL not. It's pain in the ass enough to get that beeoch into position as it is. Trying to align that crap with everything else in the way and then evenly cross torquing it all so that it doesn't change shape when it heat cycles.... *sigh*

I recall how careful one had to be when mating the blower pieces together. That clear/red sealant that goes on the seals would need to be re-applied.

Been lurking here a long time. I came across your thread this weekend and went through all 79pages! It was like watching an entire season in one day lol. Great Job brother, keep up the good work!

Why didn't you install the blower on the other engine and drop it into the car?

Thank you very much. The reason I kept the stock engine was because it was a low mile engine and the other built engine was unknown. One of the great things I liked about my car when I got it was that it was a "survivor". I wanted to keep all of original drive train together, for some reason I think that still matters. I felt like if I put this tranny over here, that motor over there, a mix and match stuff it will lose that piece of what originally made the car special to me which is being a low mile "stock car". I know it's not stock anymore but technically all I did to the engine was new seals and supercharged the stock low mile motor. Does this make sense to anyone else but me? lol

So I'm in a dilemma here. The 85' GT t-top, advertised at $4,700 I could swoop it up for $3,700. Belongs to an old lady, 60 y/o. This is a tough one, I like me a black 4eye t-top 5.0 5spd all day long!!

I'm already picturing this car in my garage getting 5 lug Cobra brake swapped, 18" bullits,
What? 3700? I want it!
Please save me from myself bro!! Seriously though, i'm checking it out this weekend with cash in hand unless somebody grabs it before me. Car is scheduled to go to a local auction with a reserve.
